Bakflip MX4 issues

Hey guys and gals, new member here.

After researching for months on what tonneau cover to get I decided on the Bakflip MX4. I thought I knew everything when it came to the cover. I researched and watched videos about it for weeks if not months. I bought it directly from Real Truck. I paid a little less than full price for the cover. They shipped it the same day I bought it and I had it by noon the next day. Super fast shipping. I think it has to do with proximity to the warehouse they have here in Missouri. I live up in the KC area.

Anyways, I went to install it only to figure out that the truck had a factory tonneau cover that had been removed. (I bought the truck used in December.) Well since that was the case the Bakflip MX4 wasn't going to work very well because the side rails for it won't cover the notches in the side rail caps and it was going to let lots of water in so I decided against installing it. It's not worth it because I wanted a mostly water proof cover. I know 100 percent isn't possible.

So word of warning, don't get this cover if you previously had a factory tonneau cover for your truck.

Now I have to try selling this cover locally to someone else. So disappointing...

In my infinite wisdom I disposed of the box right after I opened it. Yeah, not one of my best decisions I'll admit....
