    yep..
Do you guys hear the beads rolling around when at low speeds and your window down? And has anyone ran these and inspected their tpms after >10k miles. Any wear/damage?

My Duratracs feel balanced some days and wobbly others.

The importance isn't on the travel speed balance, its the brake balance. slowing from 180mph to 0mph with beads is not something you want to experience.

    Okay.

I'm not a track day guy so, not a problem? My bike tops out at a bit over 140 on a good day. The Taco surely isn't getting there.

Just in case you meant 80 to 0, I've done that more times than I can count. 4oz of beads or 16oz of Slime do nothing that I could feel.

Modern sportbikes (1k's) are capable of 130mph in 2nd gear, i'm just clarifying that beads are shit and not proper way to balance high performance shit. trackday or spirited riding (lots of people I ride with on streets do over 130mph). I race (not just trackday), street ride and mount tires etc and im providing real info from real experience of my own and others. I simply provided Facts and not "what i felt and think i know" lol..

And my taco is capable of 120mph since we "talking" capabilities.

My dad uses balance beads in all his big trucks 22.5" tires they just throw a bag of them in and mount the tires, said he's never had any issues with balance. Also had a buddy that had a set of 40" tires on his old f250 and could not get them to balance no matter who he went to, like 5 shops, finally last shop suggested the beads(first time id even heard of them, about 10 years ago now) he put them in and had no more issues. As for performance tires and high speeds....these are Tacomas most won't ever see 100mph ever so I don't think that argument is valid on a Tacoma.

    Okay.

That's a different realm than I will ever play in and is completely covered by the Facts what I previously posted.

I had 35s on 16x8 aluminum wheels and could hear them on take off and coming to a stop, it was obnoxious and loud enough to hear with the windows up and radio off. Wheel/tire size/steeloraluminum can influence how much noise they make.

Haha! When I was still using DynaBeads on my bike, I could hear them swishing around while rolling it around in the garage.

Just curious what type you were hearing, DynaBeads or Airsoft?

Dynabeads, the larger ones for offroad tires

I was just clearing any possibility of misinterpretation, I deal with people who believe forums are just as reputable as service manuals. Tacoma forum or not idiots always look for away to cheap out and there was a lot of implied info on here that could hurt some one. Such as "I did 80 mph and had no issues" which I explain the difference between static & dynamic characteristics of the beads. In the event of an emergency stop from 80mph to 0mph the out-come more than likely will not be "smooth".

I have tried them all; Dynabeads, Equal, bb's, and airsoft beads. In my experience they don't work well on small tires. I would say that 35's are a minimum. Of course, there are exceptions to this. On my built Jeep with 37 x12.50 tires I use 12 ounces of good quality airsoft beads (probably too much, but works well). They are smooth as glass at any speed I run them at (80 mph is as fast as I can go). The good news is that unlike balancing weights, when on the trail and your tires and wheels get gummed up with dirt and mud, they still work as good for that trip home from the trail.

Update beads have been in since Monday. Very glad we went that route, my guy used stick weights and beads, zero shake at any speed. I must say was not expecting this good of a result
