I use 2g airsoft BBs in all my tubeless tires.
It's been working with 12-33s and 35s. But it's easy to find bad tires in those sizes.

I ran air-soft beads in my Jeep. They sort of worked. Every time you stop the beads all fall to the bottom. And, every time you start the shakes return until the beads sort it out. It was pretty annoying in the city, but on the highway not bad at all.

OP, have you tried a tire shop like Firestone that can do roadforce balacing?

I have not. They still use weights though, don't they?

Duct tape over your sticky weights will keep them from flying off.

Yes but road force balancing mimics the tire as it is rolling on the road unlike the traditional static spin balance. It can detect deviations in tire tread and sidewall imbalances that a spin balancer can't detect. Highly recommend road force, especially if you are running aggressive tread oversized tires than the stock street tires.

I run beads in my 37s, no alignment or drivability issues. Running cam eliminators with DK tab kit so no alignments for me. No highway issues up into the 90s, don't usually drive that fast but sometimes I need to get places quickly.

The only slightly negative or more funny shit for me is since I run Apex high flow valves occasionally a bead will come shooting out when I'm airing down. Or a bead will get stuck in the schrader valve, nothing a shot of air has not been able to release. The bead stuck in the valve has only happened once.
