I recently bought a new set of wheels and tires for my 2015 trd sport. After putting them on I went for a test drive and noticed that the wheel weights were rubbing on the caliper. I took them off and took it to a shop the next day to have them rebalanced making them aware of the issue. The guy assured me they were clear and good to go. Of course as soon as I get on the street I hear it again. By the time I got back to the shop I think it threw the weights off because the noise stopped so I decided to give it a shot and it’s shaking worse than it was. I know I should probably take it back to them but I’m worried I’m going to get the same result. Someone has suggested wheel spacers to get the wheel away from the caliper. Others have suggested different balancing techniques and someone told me about balancing beads. I was also wondering if caster had anything to do with it. I have a 2” level

with a zero offset, they shouldnt be rubbing I wouldnt think! Have you had an alignment done recently? but again, unless it was WAYYY outta whack, its shouldnt rub. are they using stick on weights or pound on weights?

There’s no reason for balance beads until you get up near a 40” tire.

I’m assuming they’re using stick on weights, they can literally just move the weights a little to the left or right to avoid them rubbing against anything. I would go to a different tire shop.
