3inch lift on 33s Black overlays including tailgate overlays ditch lights lightbar OEM bed mat seat covers
I recently had a 3-inch rough country lift installed on Falken wildpeaks after what I thought was an alignment the vibration would stop. I got my tires rebalanced by the same shop 3 different times after the 3rd time I still noticed it but let it go. the people that installed it is telling me it's the engine trying to keep up with the tires. the vibration is very slight but it's more annoying knowing it's there in a brand new truck. Do I try to get them balanced somewhere else or let it go? I had the needle bearing replaced as well when I got my truck lifted.

There have been a few reports of Wildpeaks being hard to balance. There are reports of basically all the popular ATs from all brands being hard to balance for people if you research it. Seems to be luck of the draw. I went through the same thing with my Wildpeaks, I quit chasing it and hope they wear out sooner than planned.

I'm not lifted so I know for sure my issue is the tires.

Where is your vibration (steering wheel, floorboard, etc.)

    Does it change with speed?

Does it get better or worse if you rotate the tires?

    Does it happen in 4wd?

    Seriously?????? Wow.

I thought the engine provided power to the tires. Not the other way around. I suppose you could be always going downhill, but that raises other questions...............

Never heard of tires out pacing the engine.

FWIW, Try a different tire shop for balancing. Then if vibration still exists, have a look at the driveshaft balance, bit of a long shot. Otherwise, look at the lift install. Everything tight, in alignment, installed correctly.

Vibrations typically come from rotating items. The vibrations can be transmitted through the truck. They are also aggravated by loose assembly.

I think he was referring to the engine using more power to turn the tires. Pretty sure adding weight will slightly add a strain to the engine

go to a shop that does roadforce balancing. I wont even try static balancing with car tires any longer. yes it costs about 100 bucks but, well worth it. tells you if you have a wheel issue, a tire issue, and which one(s). Ski

What makes you think it’s the tires? You lifted your truck, it could be any number of things.

Maybe the lift, maybe the tire balance, maybe a defective tire, cracked wheel, etc. Start ruling things out.

Still have your old wheels and tires? If so, install them and see what happens. If the vibration goes away, then it is something with your tires. If the vibration persists, then likely something to do with your lift.

How much lead weight is added to each wheel? See if 1 has drastically more than others.

Knobbier tires are typically more difficult to balance perfectly. You can always have the shop use balance beads in your tires. Thought they may have tried this considering you came back 3 times.
