Thank you gentlemen! It is not camping without whiskey, fire, and @Fernando jumping in to cold ass river at night.

Not saying no one is capable but Swap and Coyote are on the hard technical side of trails. Strawberry Lake trails goes to Coyote Lake if you want to keep on going.

Lol that came out wrong, I'm not a groupie as in "circles". There was some animosity against jeep owners (I was a jeep owner) when I did a lot of crawling back in the day. There were yota guys who would come off as unfriendly and unhelpful when we ran routes. I don't want to be apart of that, I like to help everyone out

In my experience, that "unfriendly and unhelpful" goes both ways. I don't think you'll find that with this group.

I am planning to meet in Madera at 10:30. Coming from the Peninsula. Looking forward to the first real outing in my 3rd Toy truck, a '19 OR MT, and meeting you guys. Have mod'd: tires/wheels, lift and sliders. Winch bumper hasn't arrived yet, so hopefully the trails aren't too bumper unfriendly.

If I happen to miss you in Madera, I'll meet at the coordinate for camping.

You'll be fine on the Bald Mountain trail. I've only watched videos of the other trails mentioned (Brewer, Swamp, Coyote), but I'm thinking stock front bumpers might be ill-advised. Strawberry Lake trail might be doable. Maybe @TacoJohn4x4 can confirm.

If you like Irish Whiskey, you should try Glenlivet 12 yr.

I’ve actually been more interested in american whiskey lately but this is always good for something quick and easy and yummy. Might have to pick up some of that Glenlivet for the weekend

If you like bourbon, I recommend Henry Mckenna or Angel's Envy. Glenlivet is cheaper at Costco, 25.99

Finally scored this. Was looking for a while. Planned on bringing the opened one this weekend and hoping it doesn’t get finished haha. You’re more than welcome to a pour if you want

For anyone interested about the trails around Shaver Lake. Here’s the link, scroll down and it will give you explanation of each trail.
    https://www.shaverlake.com/area-guide/summer-sports/off-road-vehicle-trails/

Brewer, West, and Strawberry are do able with 31-33” tires and a mild lift. My brother actually did West on his stock 18 Tacoma. He scraped his factory side steps a lot on the rock. Good thing he didn’t have the drop down steps. If you have side steps with drop down steps, remove them. You will bend and or brake those steps. I seen this first hand, it actually happen on the last TW Bald run. Even though these trails are rated easy you still can break something. It has happen and it can happen again.

Coyote and Swap are rated difficult. However you can try them but body damage is very possible depending on your configuration.

Good news is we also have a 559 recovery group. This group is very helpful and if you get stuck or break something, there are people willing to help.

That almost makes me want to trailer my (plated) dirt bike to have some two wheel fun.
