Ball Joint Problems

    I'm having issues with my lower ball joints. I have replaced the driver side once and now its about 3 or 4 months later and its about to pop again. Is there any suggestions to permanently fix ball joint problems. I actually looked at greasable Moog ball joints. I would appreciate some help i don't want it to come apart while goin 70 and surely die on my way to work. :bananadead:

    Actually with mine it sounded dry and no matter which way you turn or bumped it you could hear it squeaking like a ford explorer! :rolleyes:

    Its a lot easier if you jack up the truck by the arm, then put the crow bar under the tire and pry up. The ball joint will lift up and down in the arm if its loose. No need to wedge anything in your $2400 LCA's


    :eek: Rock auto has them for ~$44 each

    9/2/14 Edit: 4.3 Vortec installed, NP3500, custom NP233 transfer case, high pinion dana 44 SAS with ARB, 4.88 gears, bobbing the bed, 5" lift, boxed rear frame, custom s10 fuel tank mount, etc. 12/16/13 Edit: Currently tearing down a 2000 Blazer to transplant the 4.3 Vortec and 5spd manual transmission (NV3500 I believe) into the Taco. It'll pass CO emissions when done. Planning to post a thread once complete. E-Locker, budget CAI and exhaust, Warn Powerstation, Addicted Off Road bumper, ToyTec OME w/AAL lift, aftermarket stereo w/10 inch subwoofer (only cool when you realize how I fit it in a reg cab truck), dual lexus horns, roll bar, off road lights, CB radio, Powertrax Lock Right locker (front diff), ejecto seat, laser/phaser/ion ray gun, oil slick, heat seaking missles...
    Anyone every used Sankei ball joints? After all my reading I am most likely going to buy Moog upper and lower ball joints, order tonight so I can have then by this weekend to install.

    With the Moog's do you have to grease them before install? When you fill from the zerk do you have to worry about over filling, or does the excess flow out somewhere?

    I'm also going with Energy Suspension Poly control arm bushings for my stock LCA/UCA's. Thinking about drilling/tapping the LCA/UCA's while I'm at it and installing zerks for easy greasing later. Any opinions on this or seen anyone do it before? This is on a 1995.5 Tacoma w/225K miles.
