35k. Have to have it towed to the house. See if I can’t fix it. Not really a mechanic had someone else install them for me.

Hope I can find a replacement today. In the tow truck now. Call around when I get home. Stores might be closed tomorrow for the holiday.

how old are the upper control arms? Did you break the ball joint or the upper control arm? The first gen Light Racing uca's had a washer on each side of the bushing and were known to bind and break at the weld. I broke one 6 hours into the Golden spike trail in Moab and had to make it 6 more hours to get off the trail

I don’t remember how long ago I bought them but already had the lift on the truck. Put about 35 thousand on them.

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
That is one extremely unlubricated ball joint. New ones come with grease fittings. I would suggest replacing both and buying yourself a grease gun. Send that pic to SPC as well.

Like others said those are the old style LR balljoints, the only way to grease those was to pull fown the rubber boot or replave it outright. 35k miles is quite a bit for those without maintenance. There should have been warning signs before they totally failed... vibrations, uneven tire wear, roadnoise, excessive wheelplay etc. Lucky it happend in a parking lot.

Only road noise is from the duratracs I had put on last fall. Pretty much drive a straight line to work turn in my work and in my driveway. I back in and the tires rubbing at full lock is the only odd sounds. No uneven wear at all on the toyos I took off. Anyway have some new ones on the way. Just without a truck for a few days.

Trying to put it back together today. Thought while I’m in there with the ball joints out might as well put in new coils. These ones have about 50k on them.
