    Tire fell off.
Both ball joints passenger side failed. Those are ordered.

Issue is when it first failed I jacked the truck up see what was going on before we put it on the rollback wrecker the upper control arm seem to be pulling down towards the ground we actually tried to reseat the ball joints temporarily so I could at least get it up the rollback without having to drag it didn't work.

Now once I got it back here it seems the spring in the control arms are springing apart instead of pulling together I'm wondering if this will cause an issue when I put the new ball joints on.

First picture is about how it's sitting internally I actually have a block underneath it now and the steering arm is removed completely and I've got both ball joints off the steering arm. I have not been able to remove the actual ball section from the upper and lower control arm yet.

Second two pictures of picture of right after it originally happened and we inject the truck up and set the tire and steering arm back in where the ball joints go to try to get it where it would roll up on the rollback we had to pry with a pry bar the upper control arm up high enough to get it to drop into the steering arms cup.

As of right now it seems the springs are springing them both wider apart instead of pushing together.

Is this an issue will it pull the new ball joints apart or will it kind of fix itself.

    Hope you ordered OEM LBJs.
Springs in the control arm are springing apart?? What does this mean? There are no springs in the control arms, besides your coilovers. The coilover is compressed between the Lower Control Arm and the spring perch on top, not the Upper Control Arm. Since you have no Upper Ball Joint connecting the UCA to anything, it should rotate freely on the UCA bolts, any 'springiness' in the UCA is just your UCA bushings and tension on the mount bolt.

The coilovers push the LCA down, the LCA moves up (and compresses the coilover) when the tire moves up, with that force traveling through the Lower Ball Joint in tension. The LBJ being in tension is why when it pops out the whole truck collapses like you experienced.

(This is kind of the whole problem with Toyotas LBJ design on these trucks and why failure is as common as it is.)

Ball joint press kit rental from autozone should be able to get them out. UBJs will sometimes fight you a bit, especially getting them out of the spindle. Pitman puller should fit to get the LBJ out of the LCA.

You should be able to just get new LBJs and new UBJs and install. As long as there isn't other damage not shown in the images, such as brake line damage or a laundry list of other possible things that can be damaged during a LBJ failure (Tie rods and/or the rack for one). The wheel falling off, especially at speed, can be pretty catastrophic and screw a lot of things up, you need to inspect everything and ensure there isn't more damage.

Okay I think the bushings were just twisted in the wrong direction I put a ratchet strap on on pull them together it popped and then set it and where it was before, that parts fixed. I did get both the ball pieces out of the control arms with a pickle fork in a sledgehammer.

Starting to get harder to find them... May be no choice but aftermarket within the next few years. My inclination is to go for Sankei 555's and grease well and regularly with a high-moly grease, out of what I've seen for the options.

You've got a small nail in your tire too.
