Anybody have suggestions for ball joints and control arms? Looking to run bigger wheels and tires and don't want the added stress on these components. Don’t have any desire to go off road so I don’t need top of the line but I don’t want shit parts either. Any feedback is appreciated!

Are the ball joints bad now?
    OEM are actually pretty good.
I’d run them, until you need to replace them.

No, the ones that are on currently aren’t bad. But I would rather get ones that will be able to support the extra weight.

The OEM ball joints can endure larger tires. A lot of people run their stocks when upsizing

    I’m still recommending OEM.
MOOG was really great at one time, but lately they are hit or miss, if going by others here.
MevoTech seems to be OK, but no better than OEM.

90% of time, unless you are running Aftermarket CA, OEM is suggested.
    They just seem to last.

I appreciate the suggestion! I can’t get a concrete answer on it I’m gonna need to do UCA’s or not. But I also don’t want to slack on maintenance with the added stress yunno?

Just about every thing I’ve seen say YOU WILL NEED UCA.
There are a lot of guys on here that run them.
They may even be able to help you out on alignment numbers for after the liftt.
Once lifted, you might want to recalibrate your VSC.

Why would I need to do that?

These trucks aren't known for having weak front suspensions, actually quite the opposite. But if you want to spend some money anyway you've come to the right place :D

UCAs are recommended for proper alignment once you get close to 3 inches of lift.

I did 3" lift and the truck did not drive good until aftermarket control arms to take care of the caster issue
