I finally had a chance to do the retro on the truck. I'll start off by saying if this is your first retro fit I don't recommend it. The perma seal is rock solid I mangled up the first light trying to pry on it but cleaned it up with a heat gun after. I found that 268 to 270 degrees for about 12 to 16 minutes worked best now let me note I have a powder coating oven thats tells me exactly what the temperature is inside so your standard household oven might not do as well and you could melt your lights having hot spots. It took about 2 hours to get them open maybe a little less.
    My oven.

The 270 dergree temp heated the housing just enough that the perma seal just stayed on the lense. It took about 4 heat cycles to get them apart. I used a heat gun and razor to peel away the perma seal after they were split.

The mangled edge it is going to happen you really can't get around it is heated and formed it back in place after you can't really even tell any more. This one was the first one and I didn't heat it as much as I should of. The other one came out much better.

Here is a quick breakdown of the tools used.
    Clean new gloves.

Panel removers screwdriver and box cutter.

Three different types of JB weld. Clear for the halos and shrouds. The stick for mounting the projectors and the standard kwik weld to seal up the back after the projector was mounted.

Paint of your choice as well as all the supplies you need for painting.

And the business morimoto FX 3.0 projectors.

The reflector painted Matt black and cut for the projector. I opted to leave the reflectors in place as I couldn't find a way to remove them without damaging them so the projector isn't as deep as I would of liked ithe also the head light adjuster might of became an issue with a larger hole cut.

I color matched the shrouds and bezel and mounted halos behind the shrouds and strips above the projectors.

Once all the painting was done in mounted the housings back in the truck and set the projectors in place with the JB weld stick.

I then gooped on the JB to the back side to seal up the projector and lock it in for good! After that I sealed up the housing with the retro rubber heating the lights to 265 for 7 min and smashing them together. The Tundra lights have screws holding the housing together so no clamps were needed I just set the screws in wile hother and it pulled everything together.

Now for the reward! I spent 3 days total on the project most of that was paint drying.

I tapped the Amber halos and strips into the daytime running lights so this is the look when the lights are off. The whites come on with the head lights but they are not wired just yet. The Amber also work as turn signals.
