Maybe this will help some out. I have about 1/4" to 3/8" of room between wheel and shock when stuffed. Running 285/70 17 tire with a 9" wheel and -12 offset. Shock is a 2" smooth Fox shock. (has yellow tape on it in picture)

I got my upper mount spacers from @Chadr7858. Not sure if he is still making them though. They just take up the space between the provided spacers from Bilstein and the upper mount. Washers are also an option.

No, those are a part of the spherical bearing. Yellow arrow is the extra spacer I got from Chad. Red arrow is the Bilstein spacer that came with the shock. You need to take up the space between the Bilstein provided spacer and the mount.

    Is @Chadr7858 still offering these?
Maybe some washers could be used instead? The center hole would probably be more important.

Hi. Maybe I should make a one piece washer. Is the bilstein washer a misalignment spacer? I forget

I think you could call it a misalignment spacer based on the image above. It compensates for the extra space on the upper mounting location.

If you make more spacers, take a few thousandths off. I had to grind mine down a tad for it fit. Saved me a tons of time though. Thanks again!

Hit it with your purse next time. Problem is they manufacturing of the hanger allows for wild variance so some will fit loose AF and some will be tiiiiiight

Embarrassingly having the parts sit in my garage for 6 months and after one long weekend with the help of some friends I have finally installed the kit! First time doing any serious suspensions overhauls that involved cutting, welding and angle finding but with some patience it wasnt too bad.

I re-valved my 7100’s from 360/78 to 255/70. It’s way better. For anyone curious about valving, start at 255/70 and go from there. Even with all the weight I could possibly add to the rear, the 360/78 valving rides like shit. I got my shocks for a really good deal so it was worth it to me to do the new stacks and re-valve but if you are buying off the shelf retail, start with 255/70. I’m on Deaver Stage 2 leaf springs for reference.

Anyone have issues with the Bilstein 7100 1/2" uniballs in the shock eyes? after less then 1 year of use there is substantial play and clunking coming from the passenger rear shock top eye. Bilstein has 1/2" replacement uniballs but I had seen some poly bushing replacements (prothane 19-919) for 1/2" uniballs. any insight or experience from anyone regarding the lack of movement/articulation of a fixed bushing on the top eye's compared to the uniballs? if only replacing the top eye's with poly bushing, the lower eye with uniball should do all the articulating as the axel moves up/down?
