A few mods here and there and counting....
No one will notice your stock suspension when they're drooling over your bumper. lol
If you go hybrid, you can install up to 3 sets of lights so there's that.

If i were to replace my current bumper, it would definitely be a hard choice between the plate and hybrid. Both look so damn good.

You nailed it I think my man. Hybrid should save me some weight on the front right ? I do like the way it gives you some extra options with placing some lights Peripherally. Looking for possible Labor Day sales to bite on some Diode SS3 pro yellow/Amber fogs. Maybe @JLee can give us a Heads up on possible upcoming BAMF Labor Day blowouts !?!? Especially for the low life’s like me who got them hefty shipping fees not living on that Best Coast :):fingerscrossed:

I won’t find out shipping cost until it’s ready which is crazy but I guess that’s how it is

Well I’m in NC and I’m getting it shipped to the powder coat shop here. He said it would cost more to have it shipped with powder coating so I figured it to be 200 or so plus the powder coat here all in all with the discount shipping and powder coat here it still runs as much as a complete bumper would without shipping from another manufacturer, plus that hybrid low hoop looks amazing so it’s worth it IMO. I’m gonna end up ordering more armor and what not probably before the bumper ships so if it all falls on the same pallet then it might be more anyways. Shipping costs are out of control in general in all market places it’s wild right now.

So help me out. You’re getting it powder coated by a place in NC. I gotcha there but it’s cheaper to have it shipped out without powder coat? How much does the damn paint weigh? Lol. Was it significant ? Maybe it would be best to have it shipped before due to possible chipping while in route ? Anyone have any weigh ins on that? Thanks

I think it has to be packed differently to protect it? I don’t know, bare metal you can just toss in the back of the rig

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

Bare metal Armor shipped LTL freight cost lest to ship. Powder coated parts take a lot to protect a from damage during transit, That packing material and labor adds costs.

@JLee It looks like you guys designed this to fit the Baja Designs S8, but do you happen to know if a Rigid SR series will fit?

I’d ask love to know what light bars would fit in these bumpers as I’m more likely to get a light bar before the bumper. Would love to not have to get a different one if able to transfer. Anyone if you could help with this that would be so appreciated

The mounting width between the tabs is 31.625"and 2" tall on the opening. so anything under that will fit in the bumper.

@JLee thanks for the info on the setup for the lights. Appreciate it . And now, the question I'm sure you get asked the most, do you know about how much further out my order is? AB-10687 :D

@JLee it was nice meeting you early this morning when I picked up my bumper. Looks great! I am planning to install it soon and was wondering if it is pretty straight forward? Just remove the OEM bumper and bolt on the BAMF Hybrid bumper? Just cutting the wheel well plastic and that is it? Thank you again for making a great product. Can’t wait for my sliders to be ready

The 2nd gen is super easy just pull the factory bumper and mount the new one and a box cutter works great on the wheel liner. We have instructions on the bumper order page if you want a step by step. https://bayareametalfab.3dcartstores.com/2012-to-2015-Tacoma-front-Hybrid-bumper_p_155.html

@JLee Just got this sick looking bumper, getting ready to install this weekend. Not sure what this is though : "There are black “hubs” on either side of the fenders that the bumper clicks into, they should also be removed." is it the small plastic pieces or the larger metal ones?

They are little black plastic cubes located on the sides, just below the headlights. You won't see them until the bumper is off, but they're pretty obvious once it is. There's just a single screw holding each one in.
