BAMF 2nd gen Hybrid front bumper

I thought about doing this as I'm a little closer, in the other direction. but then you gotta think, you're only saving a couple hundred for that long of a drive? To me, that's not worth it in gas costs alone.

Are there any pictures of what the low and high center hoop versions look like for the 2.5 gens?

I ordered mine coated. The coating is very nicely done.

 

Paid for the BAMF coating and I am glad I did. It is the best coating I’ve seen. Got a lot of compliments on it. Did it on both my bumper and the sliders. Will do the same when I order my rear bumper.

 

Really like the look of this bumper, very clean and beefy! I am considering buying a bumper for my 2012 to increase my approach angles as well as aid in animal protection. So I think the high center hoop is a must for me. I am wondering if there is any way to add side hoops to this bumper, to add protection to the head lights in case of animal impact? Not quite in the market yet but just inquiring if it is even a possibility.

 

This bumper is not offered with full headlight hoops.

 

I can see that on the website, I was inquiring to see if it would be possible to custom order headlight hoops for this bumper. Or do the wings lack the structural integrity/real estate to make adding wings not feasible?

I like the idea of a hybrid bumper to save some weight vs your plate bumper is why I am asking. I already have your skid plates (3 pc) and sliders and I don't want to turn the truck into too much of a pig! Although it is a well protected pig I must say!

 

It's not something we will do on the hybrid it's not designed for full hoops.

Does the coating it comes with look more like a bedliner type coat?

 

Ish...Texture is perfect, not like bed liner, but not smooth either.

 

I got the plate bumper but figured I’d chime in on the powder coat. I had bamf do it and I’m super happy. It’s textured, but still smooth. These pics might give you a better idea. I can take more detailed pics if anyone needs. Fabrication quality is outstanding.

Yep, I had my local guy do mine but he gave me an option for smooth or textured and about a million colors too

it's unlike any coating on the market. It almost has the texture of leather and extremely thick. It can be up to 30mils thick. Standard powder is applied at 2 to 4mils.
Its field repairable with heat as well. Its basically a thick plastic coating you can fix with fire

 

Yeah mine is a standard texture powder coating for sure, I’ll probably have y’all powder coat the next thing I buy because this looks way tougher than what I have on mine. Even though mine looks amazing I can tell from looking at this it’s tougher!
