I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I have a powder coated blem in stock I'm selling for 10% off $49.50 shipped. It had a little blast media stuck on in a corner it off gasses and formed a bubble in the powder coating. It's hidden so it will never be seen once installed.

how would you recommend bending the bracket? mine is gouging my tailgate as well. Obviously just bending is easy but I want to make sure I bend it in such a way that the antenna is still straight up and down.

I just pull it over until it clears I wish I could build these out of thinner steel but I'm sure they would flex like crazy if I did.

You could bend it over backwards and the bolts would not move. 3 M6 bolts is plenty strong enough to bend 12 gauge.

I'm sold on the bare metal mount. Send me an invoice and I'll get back to you 2morrow!
What would you recommend for an antenna? 4ft firestik no ground plane or with ground? Also would using a spring with it smack the body?

You can order right off the site. I'm honestly not a CB guy really but if you have a shell i would go with at least a 4' the spring would help a lot with no spring the mount would flex quite q bit its only 12 gauge steel.

Just ordered a 1st gen CB antenna mount. On your website it says it's on back order.

Any idea until when? I'm in no rush, FWIW.

    Thanks.

Hey Jerry, I have an issue with the mount rubbing against my tailgate. Can I use your brake at the next bamf meet and greet?

You can just pull it over a little to clear the tail gate.

Does anyone have any tips on prepping the bare steel for primer and paint?

I used a red scotch brite pad until the surface was a uniformly mat. I then cleaned it with 100% denatured alcohol and a paper towel. Lastly, I used black epoxy spray paint that I had laying around. Bedliner spray is similar and similar in price as well.

I tried that, but the antenna pushes it back down. I'm using a 4' firestik.
