if you don't want to mod the hood latch bracing / cut the bottom of your grill (not visible area), you definitely wont be able to mount it on top of the spool

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
That will be with just about all winches. The grille support gets in the way unless it's off to the side.

Probably pretty hard to tell unless you’re familiar with the area but you can see what I did to the supports to fit the top mounted control box on my warn 9B33AB17-8F5D-4030-A264-ECBC356FC797.jpg8969FDF3-4C86-4875-BBEC-27C06D153606.jpg

Thanks. I pulled the winch out of my previous bumper. Had to relocate to the side. Wondering if i can do the same without modifying anything?

there's basically no room above the winch body to mount the control box unless you modify the support/braces.
you'll have to relocate and make different brackets to attach that control box to somewhere. Plenty of room above the brace, just need to get above it.

Mines like that too don’t worry about it. A dude in an Avalanche backed up like 8 feet and hit my truck it was parked. Bumper still looks nothing moved or bent that I can tell solid bumper. He nailed the recover points you can tell if you zoom into it a bit. Hit it at a good backing up speed too

Has anyone tried putting a BD XL Squadron on the inside with a reg squad next to it and unibiting the outer tab to fit the S2 or S1? I think it’ll fit. Don’t want to order the Racer Editions XLs if the won’t fit next to the squad & S2 i currently have....

Welp! I got my order in last week.
    Now for the wait.

debating if I goofed and should have gotten local pickup vs shipped since I’m located in central cali.

For those of you that installed yourself, how difficult is it?

I ordered mine bare steel. Spent 80 bucks on rust oleum rattlecan satin enamel and satin clear coat, and took 3 days to paint it properly that way. Happy that I didn’t go with the powder coat with shipping damage worries (even though XPO did an amazing job anyway). Install took a full day. Keep in mind I have zero install experience with this kind of stuff, and that included a light bar and winch installation as well. Couldn’t find any install instructions online, but if you watch the Taco Twonz hybrid bumper install of their lil B’s bumper, it’s essentially the same. BAMF’s is much more solid due to the reinforcement brackets that are included. Make sure you have a 1/2” impact with extensions handy (as well as some larger box wrenches to hold down the backsides) as some of the bolts are tough to get to. You’ll need a buddy or two to help you fit it onto the truck while securing hardware (unless you’re jesus with floor jacks because that would be miraculous). Congrats on the bumper! Take your time painting (prep is key!). Watch that taco twonz video a couple times. It’ll help a ton.

Sweet!! I am going to go around town and get a couple quotes on powder coating. Depending on the price I’ll make a decision. I try to avoid painting myself at all cost lol

Sweet! It shouldn’t be too bad then.
I was able to install my lift myself. Everything went really smooth.. only trouble I had was doing the upper control arms.

I’ll check out their install video, what light bar did you end up going with?
I have a behind the grill light bar right now but it’s a double row.

Went with the diode dynamics stage series 30” in Amber. Really solid piece at a great price. Can’t see why people are dropping a grand on these things when you can get this thing for a third of the price. It’s been incredible out on the trails so far and fits like a glove. DD puts an 8 year warranty behind their products as well. Also, if you’re set on powder coating, I might call bamf and see if you can edit the order to have them do it and then save the money off freight and do local pick up since your central Cal. $300 for powder coat is cheaaaaap. Lowest I could find anywhere down here in San Diego was $600. And I did about a week of research. So unless you know a guy, I’d say have them do it in house if you’re set on not painting yourself. Short drive for you anyway. Freight to San Diego was almost the same price as the in house powder coat. Just food for thought.

So I follow someone in IG can’t remember his IG at the moment but he has an XL, Squad, & S1 on his tight fit and he had to drill the tab one size bigger to fit the BD bolt. I still wanna buy just the XL bracket to see if mount everything over will fit the S2
