this cut is super clean but if you are seriously wheeling a gap is necessary. The amount of flex between the body and frame can cause the bumper wings to rise and lower up to as much as an inch in some cases depending on the positioning of the truck

damn, didn't realize the movement would be that much. I plan on pulling the bumper to install the winch and put another coat of paint on it, so I’ll recut then.

Which paint and primer did you use? I'm really considering getting this bumper and I'm not too far to pick up. Debating bare metal or powder coat

If you're going for looks, get the powder coat.

I used rustoleum professional grey primer and (non gloss) black. It's what I did on my bamf sliders. I plan to be able to beat the piss out of this stuff- or least have the option to- so I wanted the ability to do quick paint repair.

Spray paint will be less durable then a good powder coat, but it works for what my goals are

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

Anything less then 1/2" gap and you will be popping off fender flairs if you really flex out the truck on a 3rd gen.

And here is the installed pics of the high hoop.
We kept it tight so we had to check the PRO grille clearance before we started shipping them out.

Yeah were prepping the bare ones that are finished for shipping. There are a few back in the powder coat department as well those will be next week most likely.

Daaaang. Yeah definitely knew the frame mounted bumper needed space from the body, but that certainly puts it in perspective. Gap time!
