@JLee What size rubber grommets might we be able to use?
I just didn't completely tighten the bolts. Would like to place some there myself.

I think you fucked up when you bought the grille used? What did you save...like $25 and 8-12 weeks of wait....but now you have to deal with the consequences of someone installing the grille like a Harambe and compromising the powder coat....but its BAMF's fault? That is america in a nutshell folks!

So the problem with American and him "fucking up" is domestic free trade? That's what you imply, because he bought a used product from a consumer. Or the BAMF grill should not be resold, is that what you are saying?

Okay no need to turn this thread into a shit show we can all move on now. We are also looking onto a solution to help with the installation so these things don't happen.

Not at all. The problem is that he purchased a used grille and expects BAMF to take care of his issue. Thats like you going out and buying a used dell computer that is "compromised" with porn virus's and trying to take it back to dell saying it doesn't work...

Oh' ok so if I buy a used Tacoma that is 3 months old and it starts to rust, I just have to deal with it because there is no such thing as a warranty.

Or if I buy a used iPhone that is 2 months old and the battery stops working, it's my fault for buying it used.

Even if I bought the phone with the bad battery or the truck with the rust/mechanical issue, it would still be coved under warranty.

Obviously you are upset because the grill that you are buying or bought may have a small issue, that we are trying to resolve. You are financially and emotionally invested into the product. You feel the need to defend it. I understand man.

No one has bashed the product.
    We are not your enemy.

No need to curse and accuse someone of an opposing political party.

This entire conversation was started off by bashing the grille from what seems to be an install issue. IF you haven't recieved the grille yet/read the BAMF grille install, it notes not to scratch the powder coat to avoid these issues.

Ok could you quote the "bashing" because I can't seem to find it?

Again can you please quote it? Or are you now stating that "bashing" is simply bringing up an issue with a company (who is fixing the problem already).

If you bought any steel product, be it bumpers, sliders, skids.... no you wouldn't have a warranty when they began to show signs of rust in an area where the powder coat was compromised. Thats one of the many joys of owning steel products, lucky for you that TRD Pro grille you bought won't rust anytime soon. Thanks for all the helpful advice you've contributed to this thread though! Like Jerry said, you want that aluminum or stainless grille, just hand over that hard earned cash I'm sure he'll be more than willing to make you a custom grille. Or, just like you already did go with another vendor and move on.

Wow, this has gotten ridiculous. I stated from the beginning that I never intended on "bashing" anybody. I had an issue that I wanted addressed, the issue has been addressed and that should be it. I have the right to not be happy with a product, the owner has the right to say you are SOL because you bought it used. I understand that, I just think it the grill has to be bolted down in a fashion that affects the integrity of the coating, something isn't quite right. I think I've came to a solution that will prevent this in the future and it sounds like JLEE has started research on how to prevent this, so in the end everyone that will be getting a grill should be happy I brought the issue up, not coming in here like they are better than everyone else.

I'm order AB-3533 and just got the email from Jerry saying they are boxing up my grill now.
Order was placed 05July just to give an idea of where they are at though I know he says not to read in to the order numbers and dates as gospel for when others might be getting shipped.

Extremely excited to receive this grill and get it installed.
    Thanks Jerry!
