I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Not sure why we would need a test truck.

Are the grills holding up on the frame well? Tempted to purchase but worried about the cracking issues with some people...

Do most people coat the bolt heads before installing?

I personally know of 3 cases of surround cracking two in extreme cold and one that gets wheeled hard as it should be. It's heavy but it's rare that the surround will Crack. There is ways to reinforce it from the back side if your worried. You guys really have it good the 2nd generation trucks have to do tons of body work to make a recessed grille.

Not sure why they are black stainless steel already.

Guess you won't get one then. The fabrication cost alone is probably over $300 given how nice these things are.

Yeah this ^ i would stop selling them before is would sell them for that price. This grille is far from over priced for what go's into them. We have the economy option in that price range if your max is 300.

well living close to the Canadian border (~100 miles) (north Dakota) and we had some nice -20F temps this last winter, the recessed version didn't crack at all. but I made sure not to crank down on the mounts so there would be some flex to the surround. initially the screws started rusting so I cleaned them up and unscrewed them a little and goo'd them up really good with some black rtv. looks like crap up close but they haven't had any rust stains since.

still waiting for the ability to order just the colored backing plate but that's been over a year. not holding my breath on that.

We have changed the center bar and backing plate so many times were not going to just offer the backing plates as they might not bolt up to your center bar. Shoot me an email and we can work something out on one of our 5052 center bars and backing plate that way we know it fit's perfect.

I ordered mine march 13 and arrived march 31, all black recessed grill. Thankfully it came quick. Stands amongst the crowd from all the tacos here in VA. Easy install, no problems as of yet. The rubber grommets was a good idea!!

I know at one point you were going to do different color back plates but was backlogged with orders and then you made the flush version and that really put the back plate on the back burner. no biggie now that I know, I can go find a different route to change the back plate.

We have different color backing plates they are now all 5052 aluminium the tolerances had to be changed for the thicker material so the new backing plates might or might not fit on a older grilles. We will be putting the option to upgrade your center bar and backing plate to 5052 to lighten up the grilles and add more protection in the elements.

So if you upgrade center bar and backing plate to 5052 that would fit the older models? How much will this option run?
