BAMF behind the grill light bar

From what I understand, not for distance, which is what I was going for. Some day I'll get a LED bar on the roof for trails.

The ambers are KC Pro-sport HID and the center lights are KC Slimlite spots (HID's wouldn't fit).

 

If I have one complaint about the BAMF bar, it would be that I wish it would adjust to a higher position. I currently have it maxed out to the highest setting, and I still think the rounds sit a tad too low in the grill.

 

Agreed and you didn't tell me what size the lights are Brother.

We have done one inverted for that with the 2012+ grilles but you will have to really cut up your grille to get it any higher.

 

They're 6" lights...... roughly. The HID's are a bit bigger than the Slimlites, but KC still classifies them as 6".

 

Yeah, I considered inverting it, but..... yeah...

It looks 90% alright with 6" lights though. I'm not really complaining. Good product.

 

If you ever get the itch to do it let me know we can make one with the top tabs on the bottom so you can center the round lights.

Appreciated, but I'm perfectly fine as it is. I would imagine 7-8" lights would be even more off-center though.

I think my lights look more centered than Unchained's - which probably has to do with the manufacturers mounting hardware. Don't get me wrong, Unchained's truck looks f'in awesome, but those lights look seated too low in the grill.

 

Your lights look more like they are pointing straight forward as well. Mine aim towards the road, I can actually see the two yellow circles out over the hood on the road while driving. So maybe if I straightened them out it wouldn't look as deep in the grill

 

You guys need to forget all those old-school round lights.

 

I have my Hella's wired into an OEM switch, is there a way to add more Hella's onto the same switch so I can have 4 lights?

 

I would certainly think so, but can't say for sure. My friend (who's an electrician) wired them up for me - fuse block and all. They're all on one rocker switch. He threw about 90% of the included wiring harness away - saying it was junk - and wired up his own stuff.

 

Most of the harnesses that come with them are junk. You use a relay so the amperage isn't going through you switch... it stops at the relay. So you could have 100 lights on a single switch as long as they don't exceed the rating of the relay. You can run multiple relays from a single switch yada yada.

What's the ETA on these? I've been watching and seeing they are backorder... then I found this thread. Sorry if it's been stated already I didn't look that much for my answer lol
