Is what were going to do is build the sliders in order from the list and put them up above my office when all the sliders are done for that group we will strap them on a pallet and get the shipping invoices out.

The angle at which the sliders are set relative to the horizontal. Standard is 20 degrees so they stick out far enough to protect the truck but still tuck up to the truck nicely. Some people want them to sit flatter and further away from the truck's body so they choose a lower angle.

Not to bring it up again, so at a 20 degree angle would it be sufficient enough to use as steps? Not a problem for me to get in and out it's just the wife thinks I'm getting side steps no matter how many times I told her it wasn't...lol

The way I see it, the bar is round haha no matter what angle they stick up, if you're just stepping on the bar, it's the same round bar.

The only difference in having it more flat is that 1.) it will be slightly lower 2.) you may be able to put a foot on the support bars at which point the angle will contribute to it being a better step, or 3.) you have top plates and thus are stepping on a FLAT, not round, surface and so the angle matters.

Am I flawed in thinking a round bar is still round no matter the angle? or am I missing some other factor?

Total for the shipment was 10,874lbs but there was other stuff other then the plate.

UPS for yours they are tiny :D

This ^ some people think they work better at a lower angle but round tube is still round they will sit lower mounted at a lower angle. If you want to really use them as steps I would go mounted flat with fill plates.
