Nice. The install really isnt too bad. I used 3 or 4 different size bits and was able to get through each side in about 45 minutes. Punching the rivet right in the center is key

Sure is! Obviously it would be easier/faster with someone else doing one side while you're doing the other, but there isn't any time when 4 hands are needed.

Definitely doable with 1 person. I did 1 side each night by myself after work. If you're local to Los Angeles, I'm down to help you out if needed

I would say 2 people would be needed if your not in good shape. It kicked my ass by myself. My arms are killing me. I'm not in shape like I used to be. I fully removed leafs though. Needed new bushings . Expos are heavy. If your only doing the hangers probably not that big a deal. But if your bushing are a few yrs old replace them while your there. My front ones were tore up more then I would of thought.

I've removed my expos so many times alone that I have a nice easy process flow now. They are heavy as fuk thoigh! Haha. I bought bushings to replace mine as well (6 years old), but surprisingly they were damn near perfect so I just cleaned them up and put them back in.

Wow, the front on mine both sides the spring Doug into the bushing. It was full of mud as well.
The space had at least 1/8 in of play. Rears looked good.

I can't find the crossmember for the HD hangers on the BAMF website, is it available yet or is it something that should be fabbed once installed? I know glorifiedwelder can make them happen but he lives a bit away from me.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

It never same about we had so little orders of it I refunded the people that ordered one. I'll have one designed later but making one not is not a high priority as not many were interested.

Easy enough to make one. If you dont have the skill too any local shop could make one easy.

Has anyone installed the Icon RXT leaf packs with the BAMF shackles. Will they work Shackles and hangers? Maybe switching to the RXT's

Question for the group. I have Dakars, I got the hangers and shackles. Trimmed the leafs honestly did all the ‘hard’ stuff.

My question though, I was unable to use the supplied grade 8 bolt that is meant to connect the shackle to the leaf. I reinstalled the stock bolt so I could get rolling again but there is a little play between the eyes of the shackle and the bolt? Do I need to take that bolt out, and drill the sleeve in the bushing to 9/16”? Do you have another suggestion?

Yes, if you follow the instructions for the bamf hangers on the website you'll see it says you need to drill the stock shackles out

I’m using BAMF shackles. Do I need to drill the bushing in the Dakars out too? Like I said the play is between the stock shackle bolt and the BAMF shackle

Go to McMaster Carr and order the right sized hardware. It will be fine for a short period of time driving the streets, but will wallow out the hole if left in.
