you get 4 bolts in the kit. 2 are long (for the upper bolt on the shackle , or in my case not used because I have OME leafs/bushings) and 2 are short. I have tried both sets to no avail. I believe they are the same thread/size other than length. So no, there is no chance. I have also tried all 4 bolts and both hangers and they barely screw in by hand at all.

You need to tap the threads, we have all done this install with little to no problems. Make sure all of the threads are clean.

The website didn't say I needed a tap/dye set or that I needed to tap the threads. So I don't think so. If none of you have had this issues then I am even more certain that there is an issue here. The bolt that is welded into the hangers already has threads so it doesn't make sense that I would be changing them. There was an issue earlier with this product where the wrong hardware was sent out/used so I am hoping this isn't the case here.

Well I took a wrench to it and it's done. I don't know if it is cross threaded or not but I don't care at this point, I'll buy new hardware down the line if I need to. Thanks everyone.

Edit. I think was just being paranoid/over thinking things. I haven't had a brand new bolt/nut give me that much fight before but since there is no locking nut/washer it kind of makes sense the threading is going to be pretty tight.

It looks like you might have had a minor misalignment like I did causing a small amount of interference. I shaved the exterior hole just a tad and it went in like butter.

Are the female threads powder coated? Mine were and it took a little bit of work to get it to thread in. Cleaned out the first thread with a razor blade and then slowly worked the bolt in and out until it was clean and free.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
All the hangers are assembled with a bolt threaded in them during fabrication so it will thread in. They are media blasted and powder coated so cleaning the threads with a tap will make it smoother.

It sounds like you can get it to thread but your trying the thread the whole bolt by hand? that's not going to happen without chasing the threads. If the bolt is not starting by hand there is something wrong, If you can start the threads by hand your good as soon as you can't tighten it by hand use a wrench. If you can't they could have rolled threads they are a fine thread bolt so it's harder to tell when they are.

I thought this was the case reading your first post. and for shits and giggles I went out and grabbed a new nut and bolt out of the bulk bin and thats how far I can get it by hand with dry threads. As long as its started you are good.

All that made it in the last batch has shipped. All other orders are in production and should be shipping next week when they get coated.

Real easy to make your own. Made mine out of DOM tubing, with the side plates. Took about an hour.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I only have a 1.25” die, you think that would be large enough tubing?

Should be fine, hell you could probably jam a piece of rebar between the two hangers and weld that in with some thick booger welds.

I feel that you just need something between the two hangers. These most definitely will not bend like my stock hangers did and the frame is pretty weak on these trucks. Hence the x-brace.
