Curious why your holes didn’t line up. Did you try doing a test fit, putting just the hanger on the frame without anything else attached? How far off were the holes on the frame from the holes on the hanger?

I did do a test fit - I couldn’t even get all 4 bolts in at one time. It seemed like 1/4” off in general. The top holes would line up, but the bottom holes covered half the existing hole on the frame. Hence beating it with a deadblow trying to leverage the bottom bolts in.

I thought it was just me until I called a buddy who installs these and he said he has the same issue with sets he’s installed. Beats me man, they’re in though and feel good!

Wow, yea that would be frustrating. Haven’t heard about that fitment issue until your post. What did you ultimately do to get it to work? Drill out the bottom holes in the frame to a larger diameter?

Wierd, I didn't have any issues at all. After everything was drilled out out, they bolted in easy.

Nope I hate wallowing out holes. I just smacked it until it fit. I’m 100% sure if I wallowed out the holes larger than 1/2” it would’ve fit just fine. I’m not complaining - Saved money and I’m happy lol

Probably something I did on my end? No idea. I know most just bolt up the hangar and it’s easy as that. I was happy with how easy getting the rivets out was though.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

Not once has it ever been reported to me about these hangers not bolting to the lower frame holes, We have shipped over 2000 sets of these and your the first to that I know of. If the holes are not lined up something is off. As soon as you put that hanger up and it didn't line up you should of emailed me pictures of the hanger before attempting to install it. You should be able to pop out the rivets drill to over 1/2" and bolt them on.

I'd like to see more pictures of these to see what's going on.

You want the holes over 1/2" just look at a 1/2" washer it's nearly a 9/16th opening to allow for bolt fitment. trying for a machine fit .500" bit and a .500 bolt is going to be tight. The next size above the bolt size is a goo rule of thumb.

Was told by someone who installed their bolt holes didn't line up with frame. Not sure if those are just flukes but just going off what i was told.

Good to know - I just decided to make it fit without drilling em that much larger.

I will say though, holy hell the difference is amazing.

Yeah I'm very quick at getting back to people, if you ever have any issues I can be reached via email even on weekends. I check it often so we could of shaved a few ours and lots of F&*$Ks on that install if we had a chance to talk on the phone while you were installing.

Ordered a set, along with the HD shackles. Anybody in the Bay Area have a fab guy they can recommend to make the crossmember?

Interesting design. What are the bolts and separation on the passenger side of it for? Width adjustment?

With the newest version of the bamf hd hangers the joint on the passenger side is for ease of installation and to lessen the shipping costs by being able to fit the crossbar in a 24” x 8” x 8” box vs a 40” x 12” x 8” that would be required if the crossbrace didn’t break down.

If you have the original style bamf hangers with the threaded inserts, you can’t install a crossbar without unbolting the hangers from the frame, not a big deal if your installing the hangers and crossbar at the same time, but a major pita if you already have you hangers and suspension installed. So by adding the joint and breaking the crossbar into two parts everything can be slid into place without unbolting any of your suspension or hangers to do the install.
