You buy bushings for the leafs, not the shackles.

Way late to the party but I finally made time to get it done. This rolling magnet was by far the best 10 bucks I’ve spent on a tool.

I think I need one of those. It wasn’t fun putting my hand down on some hot plasma cutter slag. The rivets on my truck were very stubborn

My bitch ass truck had the worlds toughest rivets. Cut off wheel, grinder, recipro saw, air hammer, 30 fuckin thousand drill bits. Barbaric.

    but it’s finally done. Yay.

Yeah I thought it would be quick with the plasma cutter but I was proved wrong. Also if you’re re going plasma cutter route be careful of wiring harness. Mine wound up slightly melted so i had to fix that.

Yeah, the job isn’t low energy by any means. I recommend good music, headphones and face shield and just getting comfortable with your grinder for a while. Shock mounts are fun too. Worth it though.

Looking forward to having mine installed soon! Does anyone know if this kit is compatible with the icon rxt leafs? I've looked around and all signs point to it working. I'd like to do a rear shock relocate down the road but am thinking its still viable to have these installed in the meantime with the stock rear shock location and the rxt's?

I just did mine with the icon rxt leafs. Worked out well no problems with the leaf rubbing on the hanger.

Finally looking to upgrade to Alcans and might as well tackle this project at the same time. My Deavers are about 10+ years old now

No modifications required to fit the Alcans like some others? I’ve seen some packs require grinding. Not that I’m worried about cutting or welding, just looking to figure out all possibilities

@Overlanerd I have a drifter from you on order. I opted for a 1,000 lb Alcan pac and BAMF hangers / shackles. Do you recommend that configuration? Did you have clearance issues with your Alcans clearing BAMF shackles? Thanks for your input.

@heffer what was your order of assembly of the leaf / shackle / hanger when you reinstalled? Did you assemble all 3 and then lift the whole assembly up with a floor jack under the axle? Also, when you were drilling out rivets, is all the weight off the axle? or is the both the frame and the axle supported with jack stands / floor jack?
