No… I bought all new sensors, and still getting the alarm.

When I open up the swing arms, the sensors work fine; the swing arm is being detected.

I’m ok with that though… as long as everything “works”.

I just don’t like having faulty equipment.

Sensors aren’t even on my radar. Haha. That was punny. Seriously tho, we chopped that stuff off, ain’t even going to re-install or worry bout it.

The real want is that camera relocation. Any update on that @JLee ? Will I have to by an aftermarket harness extension? Or is that a part of it? I’m “driving blind” back there lol.

    TIA

I took out the factory camera and bracket, and placed it under the flip-up plate.

    it’s temporary, but works.
If I go off roading, I’ll take it off BF815591-9A2A-4A7B-A9FB-336FBC7369E4.jpg

I did the same thing, but put it in the trailer hitch power location temporarily.

If there’s a BAMF camera relocation bracket that doesn’t get in the way of a flip-up license plate; I’m interested.

Also… a BAMF bottle opener that can be mounted to the swing outs….

Im getting my spare mounted on Saturday.
This bumper, for the first time, will allow me to have a full size spare.

I feel like I’ve been rolling the dice every time I go out, without a spare.

    Looks good.

Did you have to drill new holes into the Jack mount? I tried to line mine up but the bolt heads on the swing arm protrude and hit the Jack mount. I was thinking of using washers to space out the mount from the swing arm…

I have the 2 ton jack, so I don’t know if that makes a difference, but my bolts don’t touch the jack.

Right now, I only have 2 bolts in. The pre-drilled holes on the mount do not line up with our swing outs.

It feels pretty secure though… 0B5DDF28-10DA-48FB-B955-63A36BC284E7.jpg

Ahhh I see what you did there. Those silver bold heads at the bottom of the swing arm don’t hit the Jack mount?

I tried that and it semi works….I’m thinking of drilling new holes in the mount so I can get all 4 bolts. Thank you!

    Ohh, those bolts.
Yea, I’m sure they’re touching. I didn’t even notice that when I saw installed the mount.

I have thought about mounting the PE back there but I’m just a skeptic and I don’t trust it. Just make sure you guys are using grade 8 bolts

This is my solution for the camera bracket, doesn't interfere with the Bully Flip. I made a two piece bracket with a spacer that bolts the two together, and I use the left side mounting screw for the plate. The Bracket that mounts to the bumper is a section of 1/8" angle, the camera mount is 1/8" x 1" 304 SS, and the spacer came with my front Kings (sway bar spacers). I machined the same window and holes that are on the OEM camera mount. FYI, the pins and screw holes on the camera are not symmetrical to each other nor the centerline of the camera. Weird.

    1.jpg

    View from beneath the bumper.

    2.jpg

No modification to the harness, just zip tie to the bumper.

    3.jpg

    4.jpg

    5.jpg

Unobtrusive, protected and clears the tailgate.

I also fixed a couple issues with the bumper that were bugging me.

    1. There is a sizable gap between the top of the swingout and the upper mount. When you tighten the bolt the upper mount bends downwards. I turned a couple Delrin spacers for both sides and bent the mount back up. Don't remember exactly how thick they were, but it was something like .130"

    Spacer.jpg

    2. When you pull the locking pins up and rotate the handle to lock in the "up position" to open the swing outs, it doesn't lift the pins high enough and the pins catch the wear plate every single time.

To fix this I removed the pins and chucked them in my lathe, turned .060" off the threads and turned back the taper .060" where the threads terminate to the body. Now when I pull up and rotate the handle to disengage the pins the swingout opens like it should, and the pins still fully engage the full depth of the bottom mount. Forgot to take pictures of this.

The rotopax brand mount bolts right up to the spacing of the holes in the swingarm uprights. I added some fender washers on the back side to spread the load a little more too.
