I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
The time has come it's taken almost 5 years in business but I have finally found the time to design a set of skids that holds true to the BAMF name! In my experience wheeling 3/16th plate is not enough for skids for true rock crawling and don't get me started on Aluminum so this skid will be offered in .250" and .250" only! So buy your second skid first and by BAMF!

Here is the IFS skid for the 05 to 15 Tacoma they are pure beast constructed from 100% .250" A36 plate steel CNC laser cut and CNC formed with gussets welded to the front and rear section to make this one of if not the strongest IFS skid on the market today. Even the 1.5" tube risers for mounting are .250" wall square tube no expense was spared when designing this skid.

We bent the sides to 90 degrees and still tuck it with in a 1/2" to the diff I've seen lots of other skids with the sides only bent to 45 or 60 degrees that leaves it weak and easier to bend we took them to a full 90 and made them much larger then most companies do creating a solid support for your truck. as the .250" plate and tall 90 degree sides were not enough we brace the front bash plate with .250" gussets a common failure point on most skids. We also took it one step further and making the 90 degree webs on the front bash plate and the bottom over lap just right for us to weld the two together creating yet another brace something that no one I have seen does. (Edit they do now that they seen ours years ago)

Not only is this skid one of if not the strongest and priced accordingly as well at $325.00 bare metal and $375.00 powder coated with a black texture.

No documented weight as of yet @stroM- . We are guessing somewhere around 70-75 lbs. You will need a jack to mount it or a second hand for sure.

I like that you didn't use those tiny screws on the back cross member.

The back is provisioned to fit a mid skid he will be offering as well. I'm not sure if already has those designs made but for sure he will be offering mid skids soon.

Lol. Yeahhh... as I'm sure you know why.

When I bent my allpro 3/16s into a U it ripped the little bolt right out. I had to retap the hole and put in a bigger screw when installing my 1/4 relentless

The good news is that while yes it does weigh a considerable amount, you don't feel it a whole lot since it rides as low as possible on the frame while still maintaining ground clearance. It doesn't affect your center of gravity since it is mounted low on the frame and since he built it as symmetrical as possible, the weight is distributed across the skid nice and evenly.

If I didn't already have a 1/4 relentless ifs Id be getting one of these. Jerry's Prototype T-case skid he made me last year has taken a beating without any dents. I have even had the whole weight of the truck on it a couple times.

My old rear bolts sheered right off the old skid and are still in there apparently. Lol. We didn't even bother tapping them out.

As far as the little things go. The skid is fully joined and connected from the diagonal front portion of it at the 90* bends to the flat portion of the 90* bends as well. This picture shows both that and the cuts which allows for extra clearance of the lower control arms. LT guys will not have a problem clearing this skid. Inside of those cuts are internal reinforcements similar to the front ribs to prevent any weakness that the cut outs may have created into the metal. All of the towers are internally reinforced by 1/4 .250 plates as well for additional strength provided to the 1/4 .250 towers.

Aditionally, for all you appearance freaks, the BAMF lettering is mounted high and using 3 allen rounded bolts. They are removable and paintable if silver isn't your thing and want to paint them. They are made out of brushed stainless steel.

Yes sir it's only a matter of time!

Yeah I didn't like those bolt back there so I went in the center with 1/2" grade 8 bolts with a top plate on the top or that crossmember to act as a big washer and the front bolts will be M12x 1.25 pitch X30MM grade 12.9
