I'm interested in getting the rack but a couple questions. Are you still able to tailgate bikes on a DCLB '17 with the rack and RTT? Enough room for seat clearance? Whats the lead time on a basic rack with RTT mounts and powder coat? Approx shipping to 98295 commercial address?

    @JLee

    Thanks!

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
You will most likely need to move the seat down or take it out to get the bike under the rack. The lead time with powder coat would be a couple weeks bare metal racks are in stock. And freight up to that zip would be 150.

    Thanks for the reply!

Any chance someone could measure the distance from bottom of the bed to the bottom of one of the top cross bars on the rack?

And lastly has anyone had any luck mounting a CVT tent to the added RTT mounts or have you had to use the regular tube mounts?

    Thanks again!

I can do it later tonight. Yes my CVT tent mounts fine using the stock tubing. No need for additional mounts or whatever

What bolt size/thread wingnuts are used for the Hi-Lift mount studs? I seem to have lost them :(

    Are they 1/2"-13?

Gahhh! 3rd gen rack is the deal of the day today but i think i'll need like 2.5-3" more in height.

Hate passing up a deal but i think i might have to go the custom route. I need about 34.5-35" from a low slot in the bed to the top of the rack for the tent to be able to clear the bike.

@JLee any chance you'd be able to extend one these a little bit?

The rack is Designed in 3d and CNC cut and built in a jig. Any changes to the size will take quite a bit of work so it would be about 30% more for a custom rack as well as at least a 12 week lead time.

Any images of the XL mounting plates on a 3rd gen low profile rack? Also, do the XL plates have mounting holes for Maxtrax?

Was this ever tested to be sure it clears a low profile rack with a rtt? And if so would mounting rotopax still clear the tent?

The mounts clear the tents we have been offering them for a wile now on these racks. Clearing the tent would depend on how the mounts are loaded. Rotopax and traction boards would most likely need to come off on the open side of the tent depending on how your tent sits on the rails.

Mine just went through it’s second trip. This was this last weekend in Death Valley. I’m pretty happy with this rack setup and would recommend it. 358CA154-94F6-407B-9E8C-E6C9316C8FDB.jpg

Haha. Patients. Not sure if you’ve spoke with bamf on lead time or just ordered online but they are pretty dead on with there lead times. You won’t be disappointed.

XPO took longer to find mine on the dock in another state than Jerry did to get it built and shipped out. Lol. Almost 2 years with mine and still extremely happy with it.

Yea XPO delayed mine as well.. I ended up telling them I would pick it up from there warehouse. Then when I said that they told me the seller would have to give me permission to do so. Big confusion with them. Not bamf.
