I’ve sent Jerry an email to make it right before this escalates more because I still chose BAMF over all these other brands based on how highly he speaks on his quality of product. But you are correct, you don’t have to be a fabricator or a genius to notice the large gap left unsealed. I’d have peace of mind in the long run just getting a new passenger side slider sent to me to make it right or cover fabrication costs to fix.

At the very least I'd hope for a response of "Find a trusted welder locally and send me the bill" ... and TBH I'd half expect to see a bit on top of that for the trouble. Ain't like returning an Amazon package to the UPS store. o_O

What I’m more worried about is these are not being inspected. Thanks tho

Yeah that freight charge was also extra. Send me a new driver side and I’m satisfied. This just isn’t right or what I expected.

You have any update on this? I imagine Jerry's customer service is phenomenal compared to some larger company.

Not my slider but I thought of the same thing

Looks like an easy fix for both sides. Find a local welder, have them spot weld and BAMF pay the cost. Maybe a partial refund for your time/gas.
My opinion, least headache for everyone if there is a close by welder.

either way, I hope both sides gets a fair resolution. I agree, we all paid good money for these sliders and expect good product and good customer service in return.

    Seems like BAMF/Jerry is a good company/person.

Ended up just taking to to a welder to seal it. No sense in dealing with billing to Jerry over $20. It is what it is. No sense in pouting over it. Feel free to send me a swag box for my troubles, if not we’re all good!

Is there any real install instructions that I’m not finding? Or just forum write ups? Seems like all I got was a bag of 3/4” bolts, most with 2 washers & a nut while there’s 3 with just a washer no nut. I know I’m supposed to reuse the existing 14mm on the bottom of the frame as well. Setting these up to install hopefully tonight or this weekend. Most of what I’ve been able to find is a forum write up from 2015 and a single video on YouTube

I’m on the same boat. Couple of older write-ups and the one YouTube video. Picked up my set yesterday from the xpo yard. Started installing, then took a long break . Heavier than I expected so I was fighting to get them in position most of the time.

How are the welds on yours? And did you order bare metal or already powder coated? Let me know if you get any newer instructions. I thought the sliders would come with paper instructions, all I got was a bag of hardware and the sliders.

Mine were powder coated. From what I can tell, everything looks good. I assumed when ordering there weren’t going to be instructions. I just read what was on TW and that single YouTube video. Will keep you posted how my install goes.

Highly recommend installing these yourself at a shop if that’s an option. Being able to stand up under the truck to mount these takes the tough part out of the install. Having these installed and as easy as that was ALMOST makes me forget about the missed weld. They turned out great! I hope I get a swag box to promote your product. These are pure BEEF.
    Anyways, thanks Jerry!

if you guys want more pictures I will post any and answer questions regarding what I did to install this. :muscleflexing:

I rolled around the floor for about 2 hours to get these on haha. I used a floor jack and a bucket to get it into position. One modification to the plastic module on the passenger side, but everything else was straight forward and everything lined up for my install. Took about 20 weeks to receive. And almost 21 because of the holiday. I got pretty impatient at the end but I’m happy overall with the product. I went with BAMF sliders because the design looked good and @JLee seemed to give great support on his product. He was also pretty patient every time I asked for an update.

Also worth noting. I requested the powder coat just before my sliders were built which extended my wait.

    Just got my invoice!
$350 to Southeast Georgia for the 80".
I think you'll be right around $300, if not less.

for the shipping fee, do take it from the original method of payment, pay when delivered or will the freight company call and collect during transit?

I was sent the invoice via PayPal and I believe we are expected to pay prior to the items leaving the facility, from what I could tell in my email. My status still shows "Invoiced for freight" when I look up my order on the BAMF website, and I did pay yesterday.
