It might be pricey depending on where you take it.. Most likely would be cheaper to buy the bits.

    Step bit from lowes =50$
Step bit from harbor frieght= 5$
I did 70% of the holes with my harbor frieght one and it is still as sharp as when I got it(except the tip is dull but who cares just drill a pilot hole..).. the rest of the holes i did with a cheap 1/2" bit.. I don't use step bits very often so I didn't see a need for spending 50$ On a quality one..

Edit: I didn't even use oil and it still went fine with the HF bit.. I would be surprised if your drill didn't cut it unless your batteries are really old and won't charge good or something? just with a cordless you probably don't want to force the bit in as hard and it might just take an extra couple minutes per hole.

I have a cheap( it was like $30) black and decker corded drill that I used. Worked just fine

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

You need to use the large washers for those holes.

Ohhhhh.. The way the square washers came assembled with the fab'd nutplate I thought those were to bridge the gap in the frame. Should the nuts or the metal strip be up against the frame.

Edit: Just realized the washers will create the space I need.

No the nut plate is for the front bolts and the square washers are for the other 2 holes.

Not sure if that was sarcasm about the order of operations or not?

Sick, I'm counting on those pics. About the order of painting and welding... Jerry knows... I did something incredibly dumb in the name of saving a buck.

In case you haven't put it together, I had the sliders welded by jerry since I'm local (somewhat), then. Rattle canned at home. I beg anyone who reads this, ***do not do what I did*** For the record this was against Jerry's recommendation :) sliders are fantastic by the way, looking forward to giving them a workout at slick rock.

Naw man, it is hard to get the gussets that sit up close to the body... You'll see and remember me when you take a look.
