Powder coat update / brag :

I’ve had my sliders for 2-2.5 years or so now and I beat on them pretty good when I was in Hawaii. Tons of salt in the air, obviously. I was removing my CBI overland skids yesterday to prep for differential, transfer case, and manual transmission fluid swaps and took a long hard look under the truck.

I had my skids done locally in Morgantown, and Jerry did my sliders. My skids have seen some dirt rubbing / lose gravel in the hills when coming over the top, but nothing compared to the sliders in Hawaii.

My sliders look fantastic. No bubbling. No chipping. Only spots of note are where I banged them and have to touch up. My skids? Nearly all the edges have peeled or bubbled.

Anyone complaining about Jerry’s powder is insane. I have the old stuff that isn’t as good as his newer stuff, and it’s the shit. If I was local I’d take the rest of my stuff to him and see if he’d fix it :annoyed:

Anyone know how long current lead times are? Website says at least 4 months and I ordered 15 weeks ago. Trying to be patient... But damn, I can't wait to get these installed!

Minimum of 4 months from the time you ordered. That's for bare metal sliders powder coating adds to that minimum lead time. Current lead times are for new orders placed today are starting at 12 weeks.

The best way to get a update is to send a email to jerry@bayareametalfab.com

I know it may have already been asked/answered, but is there enough room for you to get your foot on these and use them as side steps/nerf bars as well?

I'm asking because my gf is short and uses my current nerf bars to jump in.

Sliders no not make great steps for people that need them. Sure you can step on them but they are set much higher then standard steps. 10 or 0 degrees is what I recommend if you want to use them as a step.

They make for great laughs watching people trying to use them as side steps tho.

After waiting since March, these bad boys showed up on Tuesday and I finally got a chance to install them today. I'm beyond stoked. BAMF beef. It's what's for dinner.

Will 10 degree slider for DCSB provide protection from door dings? Any pics with and without filler plates?
    Thanks!

On the right door yes they will but nearly all rear car doors will hit the truck as they will be above the slider.
