Just installed 285/70/17s on Pro Comp97 steel wheels. The "guaranteed to fit" does not, and the front wheels are grinding on the brake calipers. Really don't want the hassle and expense of shipping the wheels back. I'm guessing the quick answer is wheel spacers. I do not need a lot; 1/2" maybe. The rears are obviously fine. Any thoughts on this?

Bummer - yeah... the Series 87 are the ones that fit, and look about the same.

Pro Comp Wheels 97-7983F Rock Crawler Series 97 Black Monster Mod Wheel; Size 17x9; Bolt Pattern 6x5.5; Back Space 4.25 in.; Flat Black Finish. I see now that the Pro Comp website states they will not fit Tacoma because of the caliper issue. I take full responsibility for my mistakes.

Id recommend just going full 1.25" spacers as there really is not another great way to get there. They make 0.75" Bora spacers, BUT they likely wont work with the steelies as the OE lug studs will stick past the spacers if I recall.

Yeah, 87s are 15" wheels, so that won't work for me. Thought hard on the Rough Country equivalent, but they weigh 10+ pounds per wheel more.

Bora makes a 1" spacer that would work as well. I have them on my truck
