I have a stock 2013 TRD Offroad with only 1200 miles on her. Recently when I ride over uneven or patched rodes theres a banging in the passenger suspension. Almost sounds like the strut is loose but visual inspection shows nothing looks loose or broke. Any ideas? Also my truck hasn't seen a dirt road yet and gets bathed twice a week. I plan on making her last.

    Thanks

Even though is prematurely, but I have seen on dodge dakotas before where the upper and lower ball joints fail when almost new. you could have gotten a bad batch. just in case, check torque specs on all the bolts and nuts on the suspension to make sure nothing came loose.

Take it to a Toyota Dealer and let them honor the warranty. That is why it is there!

The issue here is that you bought a TRD off-road and well... You haven't taken it off-road yet. I suggest skipping one of your bath times this week and visiting a dirt road!

I have a similar problem in my 09. Its more of a rattle sound than a banging. It only happens on small bumps.

I dont know if it is the ball joints... Hopefully not... Or the common steering column issue. I may try the "zip tie mod" to see if that cures it. It has been tough to diagnose...

Suspension is tight, tourqued properly and intact.

It isnt bad, just a bit annoying.

    Any imput?

I was going to say um if you like your truck that way cool... But on a serious note take it to Toyota and let them fix it

This, why is it even a question if you have a 13?

My 09 started to do the same thing you are describing on the passenger side, but only after I lifted the suspension. At the time, I did not know how to remove the sway bar so I was spinning the ball joint from the link. I figured I messed them up and that is why is doing the rattling. Although it could be that since now the upper ball joint are riding on a steeper angle, that they might have worn out fast; like a week fast!
I'm going to start by replacing the sway bar link (cheapest) and see if it goes away. If not, then upper ball joints are next.
