Barcelona Red not available on 2018 Access Cabs?

I got a call from my local dealer keeping an eye out on new 2018s for me. I want an Access Cab in Barcelona Red. He calls and says his sales manager is saying that Access Cabs won't be available in Red. I tell him that's the first I hear of color restrictions based on cab size.

But today, I look at Toyota's website. They have the 2018 Tacoma on there now. When I go to build one, Barcelona Red isn't selectable.

Is it true that Access Cabs won't be available in Barcelona Red? How was this not known before now?

 

I don't think that's true; probably just not in the supply chain yet for your area.

 

Apparently not. I just 'built' one in the SE Toyota region. SR, utility (rear stuff deleted, saves 1700) 4x4, MSRP 27,500.

 

I guess it may just be a thing in my area for now. I'm in Seattle. Sounds like they just won't be one of the first set of inventory available...

Hopefully for you (and me with my lack of being able to get a Quicksand trd or) we will soon be able to get the configurations we want.

 

They aren't going to restrict colors like that. As the trucks start to get built and become available the site will update and you will find that more options will be available.

 

In the Seattle area if you want to build a TRD Sport with the MT you can only select white right now. I am absolutely certain the TRD Sport Access Cab will be available in more than just white.

 

That so called build site is so screwed up -- It is not a build site -- it is a "What we (Toyota) have built site" and that is all you can play with here (their site"!
