    Hello guys,

As mentionned in a previous thread, I am looking foward to buy a 2010 Tacoma Double Cab SR5 Barcelona Red.

I like the color. Red Tacomas are hot!

But I was wondering if you guys have any issue with the Barelona Red color?

Is the paint quality good ? With years, did you have any issue with the color ? Is you truck getting fade (color is fading, turning to "pink", etc.) ? Any comments or advices for me ?

    Thank you.

I had one for awhile and had no issues with the paint. They look great but all reds, not unlike other colors, require maintenance, i.e., cleaning/waxing periodically with a good wax that has a UV protectant quality. You will notice, however, that the fender flares will look a bit faded in comparison with the rest of the truck. This is with all colors but more noticeable with the Barcelona.

    Good luck and welcome!

Op you can add this to your other thread. You don't have to make a thread for every question you have. It makes things easier for us and for you, just a suggestion.

I personally haven't had any issues with my pant but I have only had my truck since this past September. From what I have read from other members about the paint of the 2nd is kind of crap. I still think it's better than VW and Mitsubishi(two brands I've owned).

Are you talking about the black and plastic fender flare that comes with the base model ? Or you are talking about the painted fender flare ?

I know your looking for barcelona red input... I have a radiant red that has been parked outside since I bought it in 2007.. I wash, wax and detail the heck out of it but I haven't had any problems with the red fading or chipping easily. Hope this helps!

No problems here. I am actually shooting my canopy right now. OEM paints are thinner nowadays so chipping and scratching happens easier no matter what color. Downfall of any red color is the cost of paint. A quart runs $300. Luckily I have a friend that works at a paint supply store.
