Some shit I got on craigslist
Your truck makes me want to barf (in a good way).

I was in awe of your attention to detail in everything (including your build thread), and then I saw your OBA setup! I dont think Toyota could have done it any better. Any concerns about dunking it? I know you have a snorkel so theres no doubt you go through some H20.

Great build! Inspiration for sure. Depression setting in regarding the time/bank account rape necessary to achieve a similar outcome.

Thanks...well, remember, the snorkel is more for dust than water. That being said, I have been forced (usually I try to find a way around) to do some pretty deep crossings, and I am sure I will in the future, but hopefully I will not need to have the compressor running during the time it is under water. If it is underwater and not operating, it will dry out just fine, and I am not worried about it.

Well since I cannot find a bender to use for my roof rack, I have no idea when that will happen. I guess my next step is dual batt system. But I need to make up some funding for that...for now, just out wheeling her.

Make a good write-up whenever you do the dual. I'm thinking about doing one myself but I like to follow instructions instead of trying it on my own. :)

    Just wanted to say thanks.

Being new to modding the Tacoma, I have been reviewing MANY builds. From the Baja build to the 6"+ lifted mall crawlers, I liked many of them, but it wasn't what me. Your build thread pegged exactly what I was aiming for!

Using your build thread as a guide to describing the expedition design, I hope you don't mind if I paste your link and some of your ideas onto my build thread as a guide and reminder.

    Again, thanks for the education!

AWESOME BUILD! By chance do you have any pics of where your CB head unit is located and your antenna?

    Thanks man

I just read your entire build and have decided that this is one of the most epic builds I have ever seen! I love how much thought you put into your mods, and how nicely they turn out. I'm not one to necessarily demand a factory look, but I love how you use it as a driver for a professional finish - great craftsmanship! I'm definitely bookmarking this as a reference. Thanks for all of the time you've put into your write-ups to help the rest of us out! Your rig is awesome!

I'm actually helping a college friend drive his car back home to Orange County CA from Atlanta on May 15, 2011. This will be our 5th road trip, as we both attended Emory University and drove his car back at the end of the summers (I'm now pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at Georgia Tech as part of the dual degree program between the two universities). We should be getting in the 19th of May 2011. I would love to see your truck if you are interested in that sort of thing. I would be greatly appreciative to get some ideas for my build. PM me if you are interested. Thanks!

I actually may be in Georgia at that time, but if not, I will let you know. Thanks for the compliments.

Lol, well if you are in Atlanta long enough I could host you for an afternoon to stop by at my place.

I really look forward to your build progress. It's unfortunate I found it tonight, I have a final I really need to study for, but my mind is preoccupied...

Hi, is there a reason not to cut off the part of the bolt which sticks out instead ?

I suppose you could assuming you won't add an hd leaf later, but it is much easier to drill a bit of rubber than cut the bolt. Plus it allows you to add leafs later (like i just did)
