When I switch my headlight switch to the DRL setting, nothing happens on the vehicle. From what I understand, the front turn signals should turn on alone. Are the base models equipped with this feature? If not, why did Toyota put the setting on the switch, and is the wiring in place that I could enable it?

When you start your truck, they'll be off. It's once you start driving they'll turn on. It's really weird.

With my manual transmission, they won't turn on until I release the E brake. Not sure on an auto.

I have the manual transmission. They don't turn on once I release the E-brake. But you're saying they turn on once the vehicle is moving?

So you're saying with your truck running, you release the E brake and they don't turn on? Do you have the option that says DRL on your turn signal stick?

Actually I was wrong, they do. The person I had sitting in the truck to push buttons wasn't doing it right. :D

I have a stick and the switch set to DRL, they turn on after the key gets turned on, they get brighter after brake is released.

You're thinking of Parking lights, which is what is in between DRLs and headlights. I bet your taillights are illuminated too.

DRL on no tail lights, parking tail and DRL and side markers are on.

Correct. I'm not sure what we're talking about now?
