I am told by the local dealer that my 2010 base truck is a strange bird. I thought I would ask my TW friends about it. I am the 2nd owner. the previous owner said he had made no mods. to it. It has the higher stance, and has coil-over shocks. It has the SR5 package with rear camera, power windows and locks sliding rear window, etc. Every base I see on the road ride very low. The ones that ride higher have fender flares (prerunner). Mine is not a prerunner. I just thought you guys might enlighten me about it. Is it common or not. Thanks for any information.

It's a 5 lug truck, but it has been lifted and someone put the TRD stickers on the bed. I have seen many 5 lug trucks that have the SR5 package as well.

I don't think it has been lifted, the previous owner was an older gentleman. I put the tires and wheels on after purchase.

Mine's base, lifted, stickered, and with a hood scoop, and unmatched flares. I was convinced it WAS a TRD Sport until I finally brought it up on here and was "learned". If you have cloth seats, no oil cooler, and unmatched flares (you have no flares it looks like) then it's a base model.

i think oil coolers / larger alternators come with tow package, which is on some base trucks. (my limited understanding...)

I just talked to the previous owner on the phone. He is sending me the window sticker. He read the sticker to me. It said it came with the coil-overs. I don't know if that's the reason it looks lifted or not.

The only reason I thought it was lifted was from the picture, in which you can see a helper spring on the leaf spring in the back (but it is also just plain higher than a standard 5 lug). But I wonder if this truck was part of a special package only available in certain states? I still think stuff was added to the truck, but if the previous owner said he never did anything...

A TRD is not a base model, it also has six lugs.
The TRD offroad or sport comes as a package about an $3,000 add on.
The offroad will also have the rear electronic locker.
Both the sport and offroad will have the elec. outlet in the bed.

I added the towing package to my offroad, it has the cooler, larger altenator and battery, plus a few other goodies.

It does have ele locking diff. and an outlet in the bed. Someone said maybe a special package. That's what the local dealer suggested, but he wasn't sure. I installed the wheels, redline hood struts, bed mat and cover, and exhaust tip. Also, it has remote door locks. I wonder if that was available on the base.

I think the previous owner should have given you all the info he/she has. May be you should have taken the sticker. I am glad he is sending. Ask him any other info he/she may still have, to send you.
