So has anybody been watching the World Series? Are the Phillies going to win it tonight? It's been a long time since we've had a parade for any Philly team. Go Phillies!

I'm not much into baseball but I've been watching a few of the games here lately.

Did anyone notice ...when Patty Labelle was singing the national anthem - that she screwed up the words a couple times?

My husband and I were like...WTF??

They should not have played the top half of an inning without the Rays taking the field in the same mess. Agree, with it being the world series every out should be recorded.

Selig revealed long before the first pitch was ever thrown that Game 5 would be played in its entirety. Phillies management knew it. Rays management knew it

I was at the game. Even before the game started, the local weather had it forecasted correct. The game should have been canceled before the first pitch. There was no way they would have finished it anyways, it was just down right miserable out there

I understand calling the game due to the horrible rain (like they didn't know it was coming), but my beef is that they called it in the middele of an inning (conveniently after the Rays tied the game). They should have let the Phillies get their at-bat in, then postponed it. I knew they wouldn't call it after 5 innings and let the Phils win and none of us Phillies fans would have wanted to win that way. I just think it would've been fair to let the Phils bat and see if they could get any runs because the Rays pitcher couldn't grasp the ball or their other players made errors due to being in such crappy conditions.
