    Hi all -

Prior to getting tuned, is there a recommended set of baseline upgrades? For example, does having a cold air intake and new spark plugs set you up better for the tune? Or does it not really matter?

    Thanks,
    Jason

it wont matter as much unless you're getting into forced induction. I had a bone stock 2nd gen when I got my first tune and it was a night and day difference.

Not required, but URD equal length headers and Mightytacoman 3* retard cam gears are solid upgrades before having it tuned

should be good on just rolling with it. Depending on which tune you're looking at, the OV tunes, for example, did not take any of that into account. there is likely some but unless your going deep prob not worth it and gains would be marginal at best unless your going all in with a big motor build.

HP tune would and is my go-to now. @JustDSM can get you hooked up with a tune. If you go headers and other stuff that would net some gains.

yah all depends on how deep you want to go on the N/A build. forgot about the cam gears but headers and some HP action would be a nice combo. basic bolt on's won't make much of a difference.

Definintely not going deep into headers and cams, although that would be fun.

    Thanks for the insight!

Is there a thread that compares all of the different tune options? I haven't had luck searching for it.
