    well i really wished that i would have kept my revtek spacer lift because after reading all these posts i finally learned that spacers are just as good or better than my rcd.

    Ok, since I have a base model I'll gain like 30hp with the TRD stickers but will it void my warranty. I need that warranty cuz I'll be blowing up tranies left and right with all that hp.

    tell us mr. know it all...

    1 - how much downtravel do you have w/ a 2" spacer?
    2 - how does this affect the "factory ride"? why?
    3 - how much actual lift does a 2" spacer give? why not go 3", or 4"?

    yosh2000 the spacer is a top plate spacer and it gives 2" of lift, the actual spacer is only about 1.25" thick. Downward travel is exactly the same as factory travel being that nothing has changed other than lowering the whole unit . Factory ride is exactly the same. Why use only spacer designated to do a total of 2" of lift intead of 3 or 4, this is because the vehicle geometry pretty much stays the same especially if you use a 1" diff drop along with a aal in the rear thus resulting in no undue stress on anything. Somewhere down the line someone convinced everyone that these type of spacers compress springs and tear up ball joints-not true if you stick to this size. Perfect way to go if you are going off road every once in a while (not racing or rock climbing) to clear larger tires (31's).

    You should do some research on top plate spacers. Vehicle geometry might stay the same but the suspension travel does not. The max upward suspension travel is 2" lower than it normall is. The max downward travel is 2" lower than it normally is. This forces the upper A-arms to move 2" farther downward than they're normally intended to travel which can cause balljoint failure over time.
    Also - when the upper a-arms are moving downward that far, the steering knuckle can come in contact with the coil spring.

    Thank about it.....

    And Yes - if you're not offroading or flexing the suspension at all, your less likely to have balljoint failure.
