Sure am!! The FJ Cruiser 8 hole wheels are a 17x7.5" and they have a +15mm offset, so they stick out a little more than the +30 mm stock wheels (sport wheels have the +30)

That comes out to about 4.85" of backspacing, so theyre perfect for running 285s without needing wheel spacers

Dang! That helps quite a bit. (didn't realize I was tagged in your build thread. looks rad!)

Truck came with some 17 x 9 with 5 backspacing, and I'm worried going up any size at all will have me rub the UCAs. Have a lead on some 8 holes with decent tread left that'd get me by for awhile until lift and tire time. Had the 8 holes on an old 4runner and loved them. Thanks for the help.

Heck ya, that'll help out the mod budget! :D
Thanks buddy, been busy so far, but most mondays are. Have a conference on thursday, so it's gonna be a short week

Thanks man and welcome! This is more of a BS thread than an actual build :p

What size tires are you trying to run? I remember when i put the 8 hole wheels on my truck on stock suspension with 265/70/17s, it rubbed the mudflaps at full lock. That was the only rubbing i had with those though. Im sure 285s would rub some plastic and maybe the cab mount as well. Let me know if you've got any other questions, and ill do my best to answer them!

Also, in case you didnt know.. the T4R trail edition from 2010-2012 i think (before it became the Off Road), they offered some 8 hole wheels that are silver, vs the 8hole wheels on the FJ that are darker grey. Not sure what your preference is, but you've got options!

Fj’s Are a bit harder to find, but either way will probably make them bronze :headbang:

Wanting to run 255 pizza cutters. A bit worried my truck will look too thin moving to the 8 holes but shouldn’t be a big difference.
