Well hell, did a cylinder leak down test this weekend, and things dont look good.

Cyls 1 & 4 have the best numbers and they're still unacceptable. Starting to plan to pull the motor and take it somewhere for a rebuild with upgraded internals. Kinda bummed to say the least, it was 80 miles short of reaching 265k. Weird thing is it hasnt thrown any codes but the coolant reservoir has been filling up and boiling over. Truck hasnt overheated so it should be a solid starting point for a rebuild/refresh

There was a little bit of noise/pinging under high load situations above 4500 rpms, but other than that, no sir. There werent any issues with the coolant resi prior to adding the blower. I think boost just exacerbated the problem, i was on borrowed time from the get go

Definitely does, but im using it as an excuse to upgrade like you said! You know of any good machine/motor rebuild shops in Tejas?

Yes there are some dam fine ones in the DFW / Houston area. I just don't know if they build Toyota engines. I look around.
