    Good morning John

    Downpipe for sure, im starting on that now. Figured out the pie cuts are slightly larger than the outlet flange, so im welding the flange to a piece of 3” pipe then im gonna cut that off and start mocking up from there

    Ace race pie cuts and stainless bros flange. Also had the same issue with a Fab pros flange though.

    Started mocking up the downpipe today. It’s gonna be a tight fit near the AC lines for sure. Very happy with it so far though

    I wonder if in the long run it might be worth it to take the AC pipes and reconfigure them to exit the firewall and turn 90* and tuck them up against the firewall/fender. I can only imagine that down pipe is gonna get a little "warm". I don't think freon minds an extra turn or two unlike other stuff. Nice fab work BTW!!!

    This may be a something i pursue in the future if it becomes a problem. I’m going to try and wrap it in some reflective heat tape first though and see how it holds up. If I can leave it alone though I’m going to try, as I haven’t had any issues with the factory ac up to this point. Thank you for the kind words:fistbump:

    making some good progress. Got to another stopping point. Got one more pie cut welded in, and then got the downpipe started. The next steps will be to build my 3” midpipe/mate it to the downpipe and then add the flex pipe and o2 bungs and the exhaust portion should be doneskis

    Once you have the down-pipe bolted to the cat-back, and all is good, make a bracket to go from the D.P. to the transmission somewhere. Otherwise, the vibrations and engine flexing will continually loosen the turbine outlet flange clamp.

    Gives it more structural rigidity.

    Oh. Okay. That does make more sense. I was thinking of when guys put 800+ horsepower through the engine that's in my car, then the block itself starts to flex.

    Thanks man! My skills have come quite a way in a year, i am pretty excited with the progression for sure. Those pie cuts definitely arent fun to weld lol. I'm surprised they turned out as good as they did

    This reminds me.. i need to open the hood and see which way the engine torques whenever it's revved. If it moves toward the passenger side, then i'm gonna be in trouble with downpipe clearance. IIRC though, it seems like the engine moves towards the driver side. Do you recall by chance?
