Thanks, I agree and I also decided I’m going to wait and test fit it in the truck, see where the mount wants to be and then pull it and drill the holes that way I am only doing this once lol

Well I think it’s almost official my truck might be getting a part in the next Fast & Furious move with my latest mod it’s officially a “Ricky Racer” truck! It can be removed with the purchase of a painted right side fender… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have on my fire suit so fire away. :crapstorm: The hood is opened a little because the battery is on a trickle charger.

Edit; I tried to mount the hose directly to the inlet of the factory air box but the wire in the brake duct hose was to strong for the plastic inlet so it would just fold the plastic over with the tight turn into the box. So I cut it down to end right before the inlet. Hoping it gets a bit cooler air to the box.
I wanted to mount the fabricated stainless inlet in the front bumper next to the fog light but the fender has an inter brace that wouldn’t give the hose enough space.
I purchased an 3.5” thin stainless exhaust outlet plate, hand formed it to the fender contour. I had to grind a piece of 3.5” stainless exhaust pipe to match the contoured shape. Had one of the PPE welders weld it. I originally was going to leave the colored welding alone but it had a bunch of Sharpie writing all over it the wouldn’t come off. So the 304 stainless was sanded clean.
Could have mounted it in direct line of the inlet to the air box but I was worried about getting to much water at one time. I did enlarge the drain hole and added a few more just in case.

Kinda sorta havent decided if i want to test fit it now or just wait till i have the parts to mount the front diff so i can just do it all once and measure for both driveshafts. I'm kinda leaning towards doing that so i'm only swapping the trans once as well.

That sounds like the better option then.

What parts for the front diff are you waiting on?

Trying to come up with the three mounting brackets and the related isolators and bolts. Also the front diff breather tube and bracketing. Then the only other stuff i really need is 4wd hubs and driveshafts. May have found a lead on someone parting out a truck on here but im waiting to hear back from them

@05Taco4x4 also has hub assemblies, I believe. I think he also offers them with selectable switches?

Well my sisters 4Runner decided it’s time for head gaskets, so I know how I’ll be spending my free time for the next few weeks. Tear down is going pretty quick though at least. Going to try and get the heads off by the end of the weekend

Small tip. Have the water pump installed to the cover, prior to re-installation. With only the 10mm bolts.

Hopefully your rod bearings haven't looked like this recently. 0E6890DB-48B3-4715-9610-91DA2829CF11.jpg

What happened man?! That definitely doesn’t look good.

heres what the cylinder #1 connecting rod bearing looked like after bent the connecting rod earlier last year. I’m surprised it didn’t look worse

That was the carnage from the autocross/track day I did a year ago. Just finally got around to dropping the rod caps
