Yeah it’s cooking out there already, but it definitely beats the july/august heat that I’ve wrenched on my truck in previously. I’m young but yeah the heat still takes its toll on you. Im not a fan of wrenching in the bitter cold either though with the north wind blowing 25mph lol

 

Cams are all in, and engine is timed. Think I’m gonna call it a day. I’ve about had enough for one day. I’ll get started with the timing cover and accessory drive tomorrow

Running good so far. Started out with a cyl 4 misfire but it turned out to be a bad plug. Hoping it continues to run well and hold down its lunch. Going to try and put it through its paces before sending it back to austin for my sister

I have brackets that might work from a 17 4Runner diff.

I went from my 150hp 2tr to driving a 400hp 3ur and I still want to supercharge the v8....

 

Thank you for the offer, but after doing some cross referencing, it looks like these will only work on 5th gen 4runners and 2010+ FJ cruisers. I appreciate you reaching out though

My wheels are definitely turning on this, but i think i may try to get an older project car before going down that rabbit hole.

Lol yes, driving the 4 banger takes quite a bit less throttle input, so it feels like i have to get on the v6 to get it moving. Much more of a pleasure to drive the little 4 cylinder now

Everyone needs some boost. Once you have it and get used to it though, it's never the same when you have to go without...

 

@BassAckwards does the FJ manual AWD t-case's input shaft mount right up to the R155F? It's been a while, I forget.

 

I have this collecting dust so it was worth a shot. Have you been driving the truck much? I’m here hoping for new boosty videos.

 

No sir it does not. It has the larger 22 spline male input shaft, whereas the R155F requires a male 23 spline input shaft.

I went with a northwest fab EcoCrawler to use as an adapter of sorts to put the AWD case behind my R156F

I have indeed, it’s my daily driver. I’ve put a little over 4K miles on the turbo setup since install. It still needs a quality tune, as I’ve run out of adjustment on the MAPECU3 to fool the stock ecu into being happy. The truck has been running fantastic though, there are just a few very minor things that could improve. Drivability is great overall though
