I love to find one of those cheap Chinese made manifolds and see it if I could get someone to copy but much heavier pipe/tubing…

 

I think as far as inputs and planetaries, they will not swap, as the AWD ones are larger. However, if you tore down the assembly and removed the input shaft, the 22 and 23 spline shafts might work. I do have a 22 spline male input removed (no planetaries) I could get some measurements on if you or someone else had a 23 spline handy

 

I say go for it! Although you could also just throw that baby on there and then upgrade it later when you locate a better option. Don’t deprive yourself of those sweet turbo noises any longer than necessary

 

I need to pick yours, @Torspd and @05Taco4x4 head/s more! I still would like to do an aluminum 5.3 GM power plant w/ Tremec TKX 500.

It is the Alibaba one. Bought it off of another member here, to copy. Made a jig off of it. Fully made a manifold. Had to completely cut apart the manifold to get a better fitment. That Chinese manifold is for right hand drive 2TR trucks.
It is also for T25 turbine inlets. T3 at a minimum is my liking. The last two manifolds that I did were a "T3" equivalent in V-band, and a T4.

Thus I made a new jig.

 

Oh, Okay I didn’t know. I was under the impression that you free hand the one for @BassAckwards.

If I’m not mistaken @05Taco4x4 said he was using the Chinese manifold on his build but if they are for right hand drives how is he supposed to be using one?

Edit, sorry but I have no idea about this T3 or T4 stuff! I’m stupid about this stuff!

 

With the Chinese one, the turbo exhaust outlet is placed directly towards the a/c lines coming out of the cab. Other members have complained about how much the a/c lines had to be manipulated. Also. With an internally wastegated exhaust housing, the wastegate would have been rubbing on the a/c lines on the fender.

I was just trying to look at the photo of 05Taco4x4 setup to see what kind of interference there was / is. I also liked his intercooler setup as it doesn’t looked like he had to “manipulate” the hood latch like on another kit! Sorry to say it took me three try’s to get mine right to where the hood would close correctly. I know it’s hot and humid in TX but it’s just plain hot here! We are still in the triple digits here but hopefully this should be the last week or two. It’s beautiful here when we get just into the mid 90’s for daytime highs here. I know you’re saying what but trust me it feels nice compared to 115 plus and then try to go into the garage and it’s still over 100 at 11:00 PM. So it’s one reason I want an intercooler if I’m boosted. I didn’t realize how much heat is created by compressing air.

First, Robert I’m sorry to be trumping all over your tread but you know this is your fault as you speak so highly of your new turbo setup.
Tor, you said you were aware of Full Race. I have been thinking about driving to Full Race shop and seeing if they be interested in building a few turbo manifolds. They use heavy gauge stainless and some of their tubing is cast stainless then machine welded. Tor, now for another stupid question would you be interested in renting out your jig? I’d like to see if Full Race could use it.
Sorry I’m just thinking out loud but anyone have any comments or ideas?

Absolutely not. Granted, I have only made two manifolds, but I will not for obvious reasons. My work. My efforts. They can do their own. The material you speak of, is no different than the material that I used for BassAckwards' manifold.

Can he make one based off of the one he has, absolutely. It is his to do with as he pleases.

It’s just that I have been really thinking about a turbo system as I’m sure it would run better because of being able to run an intercooler. Again my deepest apologies‼️
