Well it seems that 3M 1080 vinyl is discontinued and being replaced by 3M 2080 vinyl. In other words, the old stuff is very hard to find, so no wonder im having trouble getting in contact with the sellers. Heard back from one in GA and they said they have 10yds in stock and could order another 5yds. Gonna try to go with them and see how it works out. Fingers crossed im not waiting months for the 2080 stuff to hit the market

Yes i think your truck will perform well. I had about 750lbs of added weight on mine until just recently w/4.88s. The truck performed pretty good, with the 5spd but i would want more gear if i had the auto and that much weight. I think 5.29s are a solid starting point. Since you have a taller overdrive, you should turn less revs than me with my 5spd (and the same size tires) on the hwy but itll be nice a torquey down low

Yeah these 4 cyls hate added weight.. I'd try to save weight everywhere you can.. especially if you're gonna swap it to 4wd. I just took a bunch of stuff off mine because i was tired of all the extra weight. Truck is a good bit peppier now, but that all depends on your uses, so if you gotta add weight, a regear will really help with acceleration when you need it

I'm V6 and at 5300 pounds, i need to regear, especially since I'm on 35s now. I needed a slight regear when I was on 33s, too, but now I really need to regear.

You said you were going with 4.88s right? Seems like a good compromise for big tires but more torque.

Id go 4.88 if you dont plan on a full overland style build if that the route your taking the truck i would go 5.29.

That's what I was thinking. That way it'll handle weight better, hold speed on the highway better and crawl better.

Yeah Qulaity products for a good price. Especially on group buys. I dont plan on banging on rocks so its more insurance than anything else. Only thing i want steel really on my truck is sliders.

That's what I'm thinking. Most 6-spd guys with 35s run 4.56, but the autos run 4.88.

For my purposes I think 4.88 will be better with all the weight I carry.
