I recently replaced a broken rear abs wire harness on my 2007 tacoma. So, after I installed the new abs harness, the abs and brake warning lights did go off on the dash. But when test driving, I now noticed a flashing light under the steering column which started blinking abnormally faster then usual. Now it seems this light or something has drained the battery dead. I was able to jump start it twice before it died. And it drove fine. But after sitting for a couple days it is now dead. I replaced the harness with OEM part #89516-04060. I will take the battery to get checked next week but was wondering if I did something wrong or if this has happened to anyone here?

I got the battery charged and it works fine now. Weird. Maybe by disconnecting the battery it reset itself?

Since the battery was totally drained, I would have it tested as well as the charging system for any latent damage and getting stuck somewhere. Most auto parts/battery stores will test them for free and it on take a few minutes.
