I can also sell any part of the kit as individual pieces as well.

Is there is any way to order a set with a slightly longer alternator cable? The reason why I am asking is that I will upgrade my alternator in my 3rd Gen 4Runner (same as a 1st Gen Tacoma). The stud will be facing down with the Suzuki XL-7 alternator mod. Ideally, I am estimating that it will need to be approx. 4 to 6 inches longer to accommodate the new location of the stud.

You may refer to this thread for better understanding of what I am looking for:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/1st-gen-105-amp-bolt-in-alternator.630459/page-11#post-22041825

    Thank you in advance!

Yes, just send me a message on my contact form on my website when you order. Same price. Tell me how long you want the cable from center-to-center of the lug holes and I'll make it that length. Let me know if the stud is a different size as well, if necessary.

Sounds great! I'll wait to receive my new alternator and I will take some measurements. From what I saw from your pictures on your Google Drive, the fact the wire is running separately from the loom would definitely be better in my case. How long is your standard size alternator cable in your kit?

It is about 18" from lug center-to-center.

I was just asked for the first time if I'd made any progress on the solenoid/exciter harnesses. I figured I'd post my response here in case anyone else wants to know in the future. The first sentence is an update on positive cable length for those making their own.

I've shortened the positive-to-starter cable to 51" with 5/16 lugs at both ends for OEM terminals. 3/8 on terminal ends if using military terminals, as before.

I have some of all three connectors needed to make the solenoid/exciter harnesses. I just never got around to it and wasn't sure if they'd sell since the OEM wires are made of Tefzel which is even better than the GXL/TXL I have, though GXL/TXL is much better than the wiring in most vehicles. My wire is not the same colors as the OEM but will work fine.

Here are the ebay links for all three connectors needed - solenoid, alternator, and four-pin that hooks up near the bottom of the fuse box facing the engine:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/275070934950
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/275070947840
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/275070957296

I don't think I want to get into making these right now (buried with full-time job, two classes, and all my other sidelines) but I can sell the connectors and wire as a package deal cheaper than the sum of the ebay listings. I may actually put together an ebay listing for a kit with all three connectors and the wire. You can buy the crimper you need pretty cheap: https://smile.amazon.com/Qibaok-Ter...7707&sprefix=tyco+style+crimper,aps,86&sr=8-3

Feel free to share this info with anyone making their own set based on my postings. I've sold enough sets to cover the cost of the materials I bought for this segment of my little enterprise. I think it's great that folks use my data and thread as a guide to make their own!

Anyone have a working link to the installation for the 3.4 version of these? Or at least something that shows where each of the wires goes and in what orientation? The starter and alternator wires are obvious. It's the other three I'm questioning. I bought them a couple years ago, and am just now getting around to installing. I've looked at a bunch of threads regarding big 3,4,5 upgrades, but haven't seen one that uses this specific kit. Thanks in advance.

I do! I saved them on my desktop and can email them to you. No install guide but they're the detailed pictures with measurements. (3.4 v6 install)

I also purchased this when he first made them available. Just installed 2 months ago and so far so good. I really love how the big starter wire is enough to fit inside the oem white oil pan loom. quality stuff!

TheMachinist has posted that he is "Out of business pending divorce." I had Batterycablesusa make up some Big 3/Big 4 marine grade tinned copper cables for my 1st Gen Taco that were very high quality and very affordable.
